Bonus question if you feel like it:

Do you say "socks and shoes" or "shoes and socks?"

Sock, sock, shoe, shoe.  You can't just stop once you've put on one sock and start with the shoes already, sheesh!   :teddyr:

I think I say "shoes and socks", but I really don't pay attention.  It might come out the other way 'round sometimes.

I do sock, shoe, sock, shoe. I mean, hello. I'm already on that foot. Why would I go back and forth? Sheesh.

Archie and Mike had a debate about this on an episode of ALL IN THE FAMILY.  I believe Archie used sock, sock, shoe, shoe and Mike used sock, shoe, sock, shoe.  Mike said something about being able to hop around on one foot and keep his sock dry if there was an emergency during a rain storm and he didn't have time to put socks and shoes on both feet.  If you put your socks on first and no shoes, at least one sock would get wet.

Why is there no "shoe, shoe, sock, sock" option?

I put on sock sock pants shoe shoe.

Is that weird..?

Socks, then shoes. I walk around the house in socks and only put on shoes when I'm going out.

I never saw the All in the Family episode you're talking about, but those running debates between Archie and Mike was my favorite running bit on that show. I think of them as "party debates," but the two of them took them very seriously.

Another favorite of mine was the one about whether the toilet paper roll should go over or under.

I'm a "sock,sock,shoe,shoe" person....and this reminded me of a funny All in the Family bit...

     Also, I generally say, "shoes and socks", because that's what my Ma said; I tried putting them on that way, but it don't work.

I'm sorta with Raffine and Gravekeeper on this one.  And to really go over the top ...

The sequence for me is under garments, pants, blouse, socks and lastly shoes or slippers.  I hate going barefoot or walking around in socks.  I'll wear slippers until I'm ready to go out.  Then I'll put on shoes.

OH, and it's shoes and socks ... which really doesn't make sense.  :lookingup:

Are the high heels on a pair of thigh high boots made out of black latex or black leather, and are the stockings black nylon or black silk and held up by garter belts? Then I say bring them on, El Toro Loco.

I really can't answer this because I always put on my socks before going to bed, but I would do sock shoe sock shoe.
