I know I'm missing a few, so lemmie know if your favorite is not on the list.
I was going to say that I'm not going to vote unless Joe Bob Briggs is on the list, but I realize that he is more of a general "b" host and not a horror host per se. If he were on the list, however, I would vote for him.
Mr. Lobo, as per the list.
But Zac is classic, and I'd recommend Gunga Jim's Drive-in, Second Joe Bob (Monstervision, ya'll) The Goule (Cleveland Rocks), and the original Svengooli.
Lots to choose from, and that's a good thing.
It's hard to choose between Elvira and Zacherle. Both of them obviously actually watched all of the movies they lampooned, both were authentic fans of bad cinema, and both had exactly the right personality for the material.
I went with Elvira, but Rod Serling was a somewhat close second.
Still, he couldn't quite match the cheesecake and over the top Halloween-ish goofyness that Elvira brings.

I found it a toss up between Vampira and Zacherle-but I went with Zacherle.
But how about adding Ghoulardi to the list for our Ohio-based freinds?

Uh, not to mention the fact that she's a mega BABE.
I pick Joe Bob, but Rod Serling's a close second.

My thoughts exactly.
He showed cheesy movies, which he messed with, he blew up model cars, and was generally subversive, and hip....GHOULARDI!

That's an ESSENTIAL part of the job.....or at least it is for most of them. But yeah, Elvira did pull it off better than some. (uuuuhhuhuh..."pull it off"..uuuhuhuhuh.)
Hummmm...
Ya know, just choosing among Guys Vs. Gals would make a good list.
Lets see...STELLA, ELVIRA, VAMPIRA, ZOMBIE CHEERLEADER, PENNY DREADFULL...lots of chick choices.
my vote is for Sammy Terry. He wasn't on the list, but he's the horror host I grew up watching.

I'd never heard of him, but i did some quick research, and he apparently has a decent sized following.
Sir Cecil Creape! (http://www.chillercinema.com/creep.html)

"Welcome to 'Fright Night.'"
Roddy McDowell as Peter Vincent in the 1985 version of "Fright Night."
Hmmm. Didn't see William Shatner on your list. He hosted Full Moon Fright Night. I would have to say he is my favorite because he is William Shatner and because his co-host was a zombie puppet.
