L.B. Williams, a black man married to a white woman in Panama City, Florida, reported to police that the Ku Klux Klan burned a cross in his driveway in November, and threatened him and his wife; however, the officers were made suspicious by Mr. Williams' assertion that the Kluxers insisted that the couple stay together, rather than what you'd expect.
Turns out, ol' L.B. was trying to frighten his wife out of a divorce proceeding she had begun.
Mr. Williams was charged with making the threats himself.
:bouncegiggle:
I thought I had heard somewhere that the Ku Klux Klan had started a marriage counseling service.
