I wonder how exactly they determined the amonut of damage her backside did to the paintings
Strange, she doesn't look crazy or anything...
Boy, she made an ass of herself, didn't she!
Was she filming a weirdly specific fetish video?
If she'd just said it was performance art or that she was expressing her opinion on the piece, she would've gotten away with it in some circles of the art community.
See, it's perfectly reasonable for most people to think that mild ass-rubbing would cause less than a third of a tenth of a percent of damage to a highly valued piece of art. I get that.
But to me, that's just adds to the history of the piece. A hundred years from now, when all of us will totally value this piece as it's valued now, we will just look back at that close encounter with a mildly-disturbed woman's buttocks as vital. It will in fact, make its way into the lore, and may eventually add more than a third of a fifth percent to its overall value.
I pity this current age, which has no idea how to capitalize on a woman's buttocks. Compare that to the advanced wisdom of our future generations.
High art, it's a heady subject.
(Thank God she didn't get any urine on the piece, though. That would just be gross.)
Look on the bright side, guys: at least it wasn't me who rubbed my bum on that painting. :buggedout:
Just a quick thought about the painting: did it look like that before or after she rubbed herself against it?
I agree with mofo, they should keep it like that...for posteri(or)ty

I'm not arty or knowledgable, but that woman has raised the awareness of a regional artist to a huge degree.

The paintings of regional artists aren't worth millions. According to his wikipedia page, this guy's work ended up in quite a few major collections. So, he's obscure (I hadn't heard of the guy either and I'm getting ready to get my Bachelor of Fine Arts) but definitely bigger than a regional artist.
She'll be the butt of the joke years to come....
I wonder if she's cheeky

Ever consider putting those undies in a frame? Could be worth something.
Actually, I'm surprised nobody has made a remark about the artist getting behind in his work.
She looks crazy, but you never know, she could have a nice ass.
I don't think we're getting the hole story.

I hope the museum's other assets were undamaged!
Did the artist respond by turning the other cheek?
