Another stinker... Well, it's supposed to be a stinker I guess...

Yes, painful.  I noticed the nod to "Plan Nine from Outer Space," and they even tried to make some other jokes about low-budget alien films.  Such as the cop who keeps getting run over but gets right back up (because he is an alien).  The whole subplot about people randomly bursting into flame could have been funny.  Heck, I thought that the doctor showing off his series of 1000 x-rays, exclaiming how image #6 showed no cancer, but then in image #773 suddenly there was cancer, was funny.

My problem with the film was that it tried too hard to make fun of the films it was trying to ape.  I already find a lot of entertainment in them, there's no need to blow out of proportion what is already funny because it is so out of proportion.

Well said Andrew and I totally agree with your opinion. I'd much rather watch Plan 9 From Outer Space over and over again, then, It Came From Somewhere Else.
