For me, it'd be a split between Hastings (videos and music) and the Warner Bros. Store.
Either on a house payment, or materials for a new fence, my new loft over the garage, and fixing the eave over the porch. Anything left over would go towards a new fridge/icemaker.

By "blow", laddie, I meant being free to spend it on fun, cool stuff.
On a trip to Alaska ...........
55" Dynex 1080p HDTV from Best Buy and the 4 year extended service plan. Then I'd need the Alien Anthology on Blu ray, which would leave just enough for a 12 pack of beer

I'd probably be boring and put it on my bank account.

I would short the stock market or buy silver.

Oops. Well, this is stuff I really want done.. I already have a lot of cool stuff.
Well.. lessee..
A Galaga cocktail or a Crazy Climber cabaret, maybe. Or both if I can get them cheap.
That'd go toward paying off my student loans.
...what? I'd be $1000 closer to paying back that debt. Oh fine...fun stuff I'd spend it on: custom-made computer for art and gaming purposes, a weekend in the mountains, and whatever's left would be used to buy cheap DVDs and used copies of out-of-print video games.
I'd split it evenly between Sound Exchange (my nearest "cool" independent record/CD store) and the beer store.
An anime and manga store opened in my town recently and if I had a $1000 bucks, I go over there and just buy them out of a lot of their stuff. Got to help support the small business owners (And get stuff I want) and all.
That's ten thousand SA Rand so I would put it down as a deposit on a new car which I badly need. A nice pick-up (or "bakkie" as we call them here) will do nicely.
I blow $1000 every month on Blu-rays so yeah, with the extra $1000 I could blow $2000 on Blu-rays
I don't know . . . but on at least 2 occasions several years ago I went into comic book stores and came out with more than $1,000 worth of Silver and Bronze Age comics. One of these times, I believe the total was over $1,400. A year or so ago I bought a pair of Bowflex Select-Tech 90 lb. dumbbells, a weight rack, and an adjustable bench for over $800. I probably spend $1,000 a month on random stuff, but not all in a single purchase.
I'd put half in my IRA and the rest I'd take my papa out on the best dinner we had in a long time.
I'd buy two train tickets to Cleveland, round trip, and take my hubby back home for a nice visit.

That would be awesome. The only piece of furniture I don't have and really want it is a good cocktail cabinet arcade game. Planning to buy a custom MAME one with 4 sets of controls (for vertical and horizontal games, and to play 4 player games) someday. That might be what I get.
Alternatively, I've been saving for a while as I plan to get a vasectomy and that's of course entirely out of pocket on my plan. TMI? :tongueout:
I'b buy some cool dvd's,cd's,some vintage books,a new fishing hat,buy my kid some video games, and my grandson some baby toys!

I hope you'd wait a month though, it's a wet, sloppy mess with huge piles of snow everywhere right now.
I don't know, if I had a thousand I would probably do a trip maybe fishing down in Texas or something. If not that, then probably some electronics of some sort.
I wouldn't blow it, since paper doesn't have penises (except those bastards who draws on them) nor am I gay. :twirl: Nah, I would spend it on food and videogames.
Sadly it would pay the bills.
one $1000 hooker-bot, or one-thousand $1.00 hooker-bots?
