I saw EVITA on Broadway last night. I am not really a big show fan, and I was at this particular show because I allowed myself to be looped into it (theoretically I didn't pay for the tix :teddyr:). I am not familiar with EVITA... I only know that one song "Don't Cry For Me Argentina' (y'know when I left last night I said to one of my friends that if I heard "Argentina" - the word - one more time I was going to hurl).
Now I know why that song is the only song from that show I know. IT'S BECAUSE IT'S THE ONLY SONG IN THE SHOW!!! :hatred: Beautifully produced, well acted, the lead was tiny with a shrill voice but likeable, even RICKY MARTIN was tolerable... the show... that show... so ham-handed - and I mean the book and music - why was this show so popular originally? It's POINTLESS.
BOE-RRIIINNGuh!!!
