I have little doubt in my mind that everybody here has seen at least one zombie movie, probably more than one. So, the question is, what type of zombie do you like the best?
Slow Moving, stupid, brain eating zombies that fumble around and can be killed only by shooting it in the head?
Fast moving rage zombies that can be killed as easily as a normal person?
Return of the Living dead style that are fast, cunning, AND keep coming even after you shot them in the head?
Gory Italian Zombies that seem like they're mad of mush?
Voodoo zombies?
Rob Zombie?
What?
Micheal.
Even when he WASNT a zombie biting off his Mothers tit-he was creepy.
His zombiefication-both him and his mama deserved to die!
And I can say that because Im not Ted Nugent!
Dam-I raed the question wrong.
This one-
The muck faced zombies of cheezy Italian horror films.
Like this-
DR.BUTCHER MD is one of the coolest movies ever.

It looks like someone threw old oatmeal and tomato sauce at there face.
My fvorite zombies.
I've always liked the classic Romero zombies, such as the poor undead creatures in "Night of the Living Dead" and "Dawn of the Dead."

The undead knights from "The Blind Dead" series also get an honorable mention. They are different, but then again I think they are intended to be more like a revenant. The slow motion scenes with them on their zombie horses are very atmospheric.

All apart from the fast moving ones, such as the ones in Dawn and Day of the Dead re-makes and 28 Days Later.
I like slow moving zombies. The threat isn't that they'll chase you down and kill you, but that you'll go into a building an unexpectedly run into a bunch of them and they'll get you cornered. And then you've got to shoot the darned things in the head, which isn't the easiest thing to do when you're all freaked out and know you might die in a few seconds. And there's the element of safety - if you board up all the windows and reinforce the doors, you're relatively safe. Until you have to go out for food.
I don't mind fast moving zombies, but it's more like you're fighting insane cannibals or something. It's not really a "zombie" threat.
I like Voodoo zombies and Blind Dead-style revenants best.

I'm going to have to agree with this one, although I wouldn't say there's an element of safety. I'd say it's more of an element of eventuality. Sure, right now zombies are getting it, but there's not going away either. There just out their waiting, their numbers constantly increasing. You can run from them, and you can hide, but you can't do it forever. Eventually you'll get sloppy, tired, make a mistake, or their numbers will get so great you can't hold them back anymore.

I like the classic voodoo zombie (of White Zombie. I Walked With a Zombie and the Kolchak "Zombie" TV episode) the best but after that, I'd go with the classic and most familiar perhaps Night of the Living Dead slow-moving brain-munching zombie although I enjoyed the smarter zombies in Return of the Living Dead too.

the hot zombie you empathize with. She does get laid too (even as a zombie) though is bummed to find out sex just doesn't feel the same when your dead. Damn trioxin! Love ROTLD3 best of the series in my mind.
Like RC said, I loved the look of the zombies in Burial Ground. I also love the fast moving, weapon using zombies in Nightmare City too.
I think every style of zombie has something to offer but my favorite is this representation right here.

I'm rather fond of the Dungeons & Dragons zombie; a corpse animated by dark magic that will keep coming until you chop it into non-functional bits (or invoke the power of a deity to make it run away [or become your slave]).
I like Romero zombies, but they're really not a threat to civilization; as Barbara points out in the remake of Night of the Living Dead (which I prefer to the original, but then I'm a big Pat Tallman fan), "They're so slow! We could just walk right by them!" Individually, they're not much of a threat, but they can be a problem if you get surrounded. I don't mind variants that are a little faster (or variable: the fresher they are, the faster they move), but they shouldn't be able to match a healthy living person.
Not so fond of the "not really dead" zombies. They're basically just sick, crazy humans. I also have trouble with the concept of a disease that spreads like wildfire across the planet when it's only transmitted by zombie bites.

First thing that pops into my head when you say this is the Evil Dead series's Deadites, although they aren't quite zombies.
I like them slow-moving Romero zombies and them faster Resident Evil type zombies.
The ones from Brain Dead, where you have to kill 'em with a lawn mower and they have sex.
I also like Rob Zombie's music.
My current favorite zombies come from The Walking Dead, they just got the look, actions and feel of those zombies so right.
