Movie sequels you had no idea ever existed, like Prom Night IV or Alone in the Dark II.
I'd be happy to talk about sequels I didn't know existed but... umm... I don't know of any movies I don't know about.
Speed Zone: It's the third "Cannonball Run" movie.
Hard to Die (1990) - a sort of unofficial sequel / remake of Sorority House Massacre 2.
Witchcraft XII: In the Lair of the Serpent (2002) - got this in the Vamps and Witches 4 Movie Pack. Never heard of this series, but there's at least 12 of them apparently.
Grease 2
Return to Oz
Shock Treatment - Sequel to Rocky Horror
The Omen IV: The Awakening.
The French Connection II
Outpost 2: Black Sun. I really enjoyed the first one, didn't know a sequel came out recently. Apparently they are working on part 3 already.
DEVIL BAT"S DAUGHTER (1946) was a sequel to Bela Lugosi's DEVIL BAT (1940).
The evil doctor from DEVIL BAT-was NOT a madman with killer bats!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7QO2l_xCJg
Not truly a sequel, but how about 1944's RETURN OF THE APE MAN? Bela Lugosi returns, but not as the man-turned-ape-man Dr. Brewster. Now he's Professor Dexter, and with John Carradine's help finds a frozen caveman in the arctic, thaws and revives him, and implants a sliver of Carradine's brain into the caveman so he can speak, is less aggressive, and follows orders better. Dig the scene of the caveman playing Moonlight Sonata on the piano!
CURSE OF THE FLY (1965)
It's the third installment in THE FLY series.
I'm not so sure how obscure it is, but you don't see it playing on TV very often.
And it's a pretty decent flick.

Any relation to
Serial Rabbit 3: Splitting Hares (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1390493/)?
I nominate
The Birds II: Land's End (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0109275/), a fairly execrable made-for-TV movie from 1994. I watched this movie about 10 years ago, and remember it being more about some couple's boring relationship problems than anything bird related.
It did have Tippi Hedren in it, though.
Ah. Wait. Here's one for you.
Bates Motel (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bates_Motel)
It was intended to be the pilot for a TV series based on Psycho without involving the character of Norman Bates. I've watched it. It's incredibly dull.

And with that single statement, you've proven you have a better understanding of the source material than anyone that was involved in making it.

The Rage: Carrie 2
American Psycho 2: All American Girl - William Shatner is in that
Ace Ventura Pet Detective Jr.
Dirty Dancing 2
NOSFERATU-the VAMPIRE IN VENICE (1986)
More of a sequel in title rather than story-none the less it does star Klaus Kinski as the vampire-as it has nothing really to do with Herzogs NOSFERATU (1979).

Silent Running (1972)- Bruce Dern plays an environmentalist/astronaut trying to save the Forests that were left, now housed in Greenhouse Domes orbiting the earth. It's been said to be a sequel of '2001' or a prequel to Soylent Green. It has some good effects and the cutesy robot drones were definately a prototype of R2D2. The ending is naturally tragic, 70's disaster flick. The worst part of the film is the title songs sung by the insufferable singing of Joan Baez. Still, It is fun to watch, Bruce Dern fight off the 'establishment' Astronauts who are as callous and mean about nature as those who shot trees for fun in another 70's flick, Rollerball.

FJA or '4E' to his friends lives eternal. The reason many of these movie makers came about is due to reading Famous Monsters Of Filmland.

Ah. So THAT is why I've never been able to find House 3.
The Grudge 3
Single White Female 2: The Psycho
Hollow Man 2
The Neverending Story III
Pumpkinhead II: Blood Wings, Pumpkinhead: Ashes to Ashes and Pumpkinhead: Blood Feud
White Noise 2
I don't think that Silent Running was ever intended as a sequel or prequel of anything, but it was a very interesting movie. I was very young when I saw it on television and I found it very sad.
Starship Troopers 2
Starship Troopers 3
I have been warned that they are a waste of any time you spend watching them.
Hellraiser 3-onwards. How many of those darn movies are there???
Ninja 3 - The Domination
Surf II: The End of the Trilogy.
Think it deserves a mention, being the first film in a series consisting of exactly one movie.

It's very, very bad. A made-for-TV movie with ZERO redeeming qualities.
Pet Semetary 2 - Early 90's sequel starring Edward Furlong. Terrible.
976-Evil 2- Painful!
They keep making sequels to Wild Things and Bring it On, it never stops! Hopefully the American Reunion movie will put an end to the direct to DVD American Pie sequels.
Nick Millard's CRIMINALLY INSANE (1975) about a killer dubbed 'Crazy Fat Ethel' was somewhat amusing in a sick, early John Waters-ish way.
The twelve years later (!) sequel CRIMINALLY INSANE 2: CRAZY FAT ETHEL, however, was shot on cheapo VHS tape and was made up largely of old footage as Ethel "remembers" events from the first film. It is just about unwatchable.
The one bright spot in the new film is Ethel killing a guy to get his Snickers Bar.
I was browsing DVDs in a Half Price Books store and came across The Lost Skeleton Returns Again, a sequel to The Lost Skeleton of Cadavera. I bought it but haven't watched it yet. But Animala is on the cover, so it should have at least one thing going for it. :tongueout:
I seem to remember watching a made-for-TV "Omen IV" starring Faye Grant of the sci-fi show "V" many years ago.
Ooh, Beyond Westworld! I think that showed on TV in Australia around the same time as the Logan's Run TV series. I hadn't remembered that for years. Thanks!
Cronenberg's SCANNERS (1981) spawned quite a few sequels-and SCANNER COP (1994)....and SCANNER COP 2 (1995)-both straight to video-

Pulse 2 and 3
Amityville: The Evil Escapes
Amityville 1992: It's About Time
Amityville: A New Generation
Amityville Dollhouse
Bloodfeast 2: All U Can Eat
Open Water 2: Adrift (technically not a sequel, but marketed as such stateside)
Dead Creatures (supposedly a sequel to I, Zombie)
The Wicker Tree (sequel to the original Wicker Man)

I finally watched this today. Even with very low expectations, I must say it disappointed me. Somewhere along the line the writers started thinking they were comic geniuses and went for over-the-top. I personally think they caught their foot on that top and fell flat on their faces. Animala is the lone bright spot in the movie, and even she pushes it at times.

There was a many years later sequel to the classic HIGH NOON (1952) called HIGH NOON PART II: THE RETURN OF WILL KANE (1980) starring Lee Majors as Will Kane and David Carradine as his arch enemy.
There was a sequel to the classic A CHRISTMAS STORY (1983) called either IT RUNS IN THE FAMILY or MY SUMMER STORY (1994) depending on what print you saw. It replaced Darren McGavin with Charles Grodin as the Old Man and Melinda Dilon with Mary Steenburgen as the mom. Ralph and Randy are played by two (!) more Culkin clones. How many of those little googly-eyed fish-faced monsters were there, anyway?!? Writer Jean Shepherd narrates again.
I tried watching it once and got about ten minutes into the thing.
