Which I saw one night on the MOVIE GREATS NETWORK program; it was about a company in California that was making high-speed armored dune buggies for the military.

It sounds a lot like "Megaforce" (1982). I wish that this movie would get a DVD release.

DEFINITELY not MEGAFORCE; I agree with you-more people need to see that movie.
