Title: The Nesting (1981)
Post by: voltron on May 28, 2012, 02:06:17 PM
The plot of this one involves an agoraphibic writer who moves into a creepy old mansion which used to be a brothel. Is the place really haunted or is the main character simply losing her mind? I honestly wasn't sure wether to put this one in the "good movies" section, because the film has a few flaws. The acting isn't the best, and the whole 'hallucination' parts of the movie were downright confusing to me. Also I think the ending was way too abrupt and didn't really give the movie any good closure. Having said that, the film looks nice, the sountrack is good, and it does have some genuinely creepy scenes here and there. Overall I'd give it a 6 out of 10. Definately watchable, but not "blow you away" good either.

Technically it is bad but not Ed Wood bad or dull bad, and not unintentional hilarious bad either. I thought its good for what it is, and the opening is pretty cool and engaging.
I own the Blu-ray (decent quality). Definitely a guilty pleasure of some sorts.

I bought the blu-ray a few months ago.  Rest assured, it's a bad movie.
