I'll start with this one:
Garden Of The Dead (1974)
Inmates sniff formaldehyde which turns them into zombies. "WE SHALL DESTROY THE LIVING!" Just a plain awful, AWFUL zombie flick.
Hard Rock Zombies is plain awful.
You have seen nothing till you have seen the french "Revanche des Morts Vivants" and its unbelievable ending.
CHILDREN OF THE LIVING DEAD (2001) is so bad-it's not even bad in a good way!
It's one of the WORST zombie films I've ever seen.

Zombie 90: Extreme Pestilence. Badly filmed, badly acted and hilariously dubbed! Gore scenes are pathetic and the plot is dull and by-the-numbers.
Zombie 4 After Death, stars a porn star and involves alot of running around on an island for no particular reason really

I'm quite fond of that one
I've seen "Garden of the Dead" and "Hard Rock Zombies" and both are hilarious in their own special ways.
I'd like to add "Nightmare City" aka "City of the Walking Dead," which is a totally off the wall, action packed "Dawn of the Dead" ripoff that features Hugo Stiglitz at his most bad-ass and some of the most gloriously "WTF?" moments ever filmed (did you know that if you throw a TV set at a zombie, it will somehow explode like a grenade? I didn't!)...it's just completely insane. It's crap but it's awesome crap.

Agreed. Any sane person would think it was a total s**tfest, but goddamnit what a glorious s**tfest indeed!

Oh yes indeed. When I first found that flick on DVD (at my local dollar store, of all places) I bought it despite a feeling that it was going to suck... and it did... but in the best possible way!!! :bouncegiggle:
Zombie 5: Killing Birds
I defy ANYONE to tell me this thing was a good zombie movie OR a good bird movie!!! :hatred: :hatred: :hatred: :hatred:
- TGWD
I just rented ABRAHAM LINCOLN VS. ZOMBIES! :bouncegiggle:

Speaking of s**t-is that what the make-up man used to smear on the faces of the zombies?

I thought they looked like they were wearing meat loaf on their heads....
Now do we have degrees on this? After all, with zombie movies from the classic period they can range from bad:
Zombie Lake
Zombie 4: After Death (I did like the opening song though)
To so god awful they should burn any extant prints:
Oasis of the Zombies
FleshEater/Revenge of the Living Zombies
Nightmare City/City of the Walking Dead falls somewhere in between those and I would be satisfied with a compromise if we just burn Umberto Lenzi.
Did anybody mention "Day of the dead 2: Contagium" ? It's something that makes you wanna burn your retinas after the vision.
Curse of the Screaming Dead (1982)
Renamed Curse of the Cannibal Confederates after Troma got a hold of it.
Hell of the Living Dead (1980) but this one is actually so-bad-so-good.
There was a really awful one that I watched a couple years back and even posted a review of on here, but the title has utterly slipped my mind at the moment.

I am going to agree with you about how awful that film is. I'm still uncertain why I didn't rank it as a skull.
Also want to offer up both "Zombie Night" and "The Alien Dead" as awful zombie movies. "Zombie Night" is an independent film that suffers so badly from editing there were multiple times that I didn't understand what was going on. Heck, once it appears that the characters were surprised that someone was missing, but I never knew the missing person was supposed to be present in the first place.
"The Alien Dead" is only slightly better. A bunch of zombies infest a swamp and wander around eating people. During one of the scenes with a hapless person being munched one of the zombies keeps staring at the camera.

Love that film!
I love Hell of the Living Dead. Definitely one of my favorite Italian Zombie movies.
A BAD one as is REALLY FREAKING bad. Would have to be Zombi 5 Killing Birds. Its belongs to the "Movie where nothing happens until the last 20 minutes" Genre.

Another zombie movie that falls into that category is
Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things. It might be lacking on the "anything happening" aspects, but it sure hits home in the "horrible 70s fashion" category.

Awww, come on man! CSPWDT looks like a cinematic masterpiece compared to the ones that have been listed so far....how about I Eat Your Skin (1964)?

Duuuude! How can you knock Umberto Lenzi? I like him a lot more than, say, Jess Franco, that's fer damn sure.

DON'T BLEED!
As Romero zombie movies go, Survival of the Dead was pretty lame.

I did not see it, but the reception of Zombie Nation (2004) was overwhelming negative.

It wasn't so much a story about zombies or nazi gold as it was a story about a young man finding himself ;-)

Was he the one with the bad 70s hair?
How about State of Emergency? Very slow and boring had some promise with the acting, but it was so disappointing
I haven't seen these posted yet so let me just throw out:
Retardead

And
Special Dead

Neither of these are what anyone would call good but they are fun in their own way.
Even Tom Savini couldn't save CHILDREN OF THE LIVING DEAD (2001).
Is Oasis of the Zombies the one with the naked girls swimming in the pond and the zombies are soldiers or something

I beleive thats ZOMBIE LAKE (1981)-but the 2 are similar-I get them confused-both have Nazi zombies.

This thread is giving me an urge to track down a copy of Shockwave.
RC- Zombie Lake is garbage but I loved it. when the soldiers got shot they didn't even show it they just went "uhhhh" and layed down.
Zombie Lake is some of the best kind of garbage. You get the feeling they were really trying to do something with that movie, and just couldn't make it work.
CATHOLIC GHOULGIRLS was HORRIBLE even by B-movie standards!

I have THEY DAY IT CAME TO EARTH (1979) on vhs-it's about something from space that takes over the body of a dead gangster who turns into a zombie. On the plus side-it features super star  comedian George Gobels! And It was directed by Harry Thomason-he was Linda Bloodworth Thomason's husband-(look up yer Pres.Clinton history)
here's the whole friggin mess!

I found Survival of the Dead (http://runolfr.blogspot.com/2012/09/survival-of-dead.html) to be pretty disappointing.
Abraham Lincoln vs Zombies (http://runolfr.blogspot.com/2012/08/bad-movie-abraham-lincoln-vs-zombies.html) was also very lame, but in a more laughable manner.
Warm Bodies. Essentially just Twilight with zombies.
