Someone goes to court for "defemation" there's a good chance their case is far from solid.

I love this guy; FunnyJunk*, not so much.
*Name should be revised to remove words such as "funny"
Don't know anything about the Oatmeal or FunnyJunk or the controversy in question, but that was a great way to respond to what appears to be a frivolous lawsuit.

I imagine if I was his lawyer I would have advised him not to respond that way, but if I were his friend that's exactly what I would suggest he do.
Is it really defamation of character if what you're saying is actually true?

No it isn't.

FunnyJunk is in the wrong. After all they were the ones who put uncredited Oatmeal comics on the site and even photoshopped out Inman's water marks. If anybody should be sued it should be FJ.

Wait until they sue you for defamation of character, then sue them for defaming your character by saying that you go around defaming other people's characters.

I'm suing you for pain and suffering after that joke.
I'd sue myself if I could figure out a way to make me pay.
Sorry to resurrect an old thread about past news but I feel I should at least state that The Oatmeal's plan was a complete success.
Also FunnyJunk's lawyer Charles Carreon actually tried to sue the charities that supported The Oatmeal.
Just thought I'd mention that.

Shouldn't those two piece of advice be the same? :twirl:
Really though...this is cool...as...hell.
Bang on, oatmeal dude.
