I love Victor Hugo.
I love classic stories of unrequited love and forbidden passions.
...I do NOT love them when accompanied by singing and dancing gargoyles.
REALLY do not love them. (http://thegreatwhitedope.blogspot.com/2012/07/hunchback-of-notre-dame-1996.html)

What a classic! No other version of this has so well captured the atmosphere and tragedy of the 1939 film. Charles Laughton was a treasure.
Exactly my point, Tracy! One of the best adaptations is Laughton's. WHY DID WE NEED A KIDDIE VERSION??? WHY??!!
