Godfrey Ho is insane.
I just subjected to another of his unbelievably insane Ninja movies.
I think he must have done some good lsd in his time....wtf is his thughts? Who IS this maniac?

Bill Rebane is my choice. Due to the Mill Creek sets I have seen (at least part of) his films "The Game", "Twisters Revenge", "The Demons of Ludlow", and "Invasion from Inner Earth". Of these there is a sense of dullness that I have never seen replicated in other films. Unless he has some hidden gems in his filmography that I'm unaware of I would say he is the worst.
Herschell Gordon Lewis' movies are SUPPOSED to be bad, but they're also dull and horribly acted (more so than you may have expected), with actors/actresses clearly reading their lines on a desk/just off screen.
Godfrey Ho is great. me and a friend watched 'Ultimate Ninja' the other night. non stop laughing from start to finish
It is blatantly 2 different films stuck together, and so is the other film I've got by him 'Ninja Terminator'.
I think Michael Bay embodies everything I hate about movies.
There are some truly terrible filmakers but the worst ones I would add, seem to combine with the worst producers. To make more than one of these Gems is truly impressive.
How Ed Wood or Andy Sidaris did it is awe inspiring.
If he'd directed more films I'd say Coleman Francis. But he only directed a few so the damage was pretty much contained. I feel the same about Len Wiseman. I haven't seen an M. Night Shyamalan film in years. And Jason Friedberg
who directed some of those Scary moive, Epic Movie, Meet the Spartans fiascos.

I think I'd have to agree here....his films are over-blown,bombastic and thinly-plotted. I think the Transformers movies say this very clearly....IMO.
I always thought this title belonged to Uwe Boll until I saw his film Darfur aka Attack On Darfur which was filmed here in 2009: I bawled my eyes out at the end.
I couldn't pick just one so I'd saying the following people all share that spot: Coleman Francis, Uwe Boll, Herschell Gordon Lewis, Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer.
I would've put Peter Jackson, but Bad Taste redeems him in my eyes. Sixth Sense, Unbreakable and Signs does the same for Shamalongadingong.
I still stand by my man, Andy Milligan.

Also in there battlin' hard are the incomparable Polonia Brothers (R.I.P. John :bluesad:).

"Hundreds of thousands of people every year claim to see UFOs or see beans from another plan!"
William Castle is like Ed Woods less crazy, equally untalented brother.
Agree with Raffine, it's got to be Andy Milligan.
I have yet to see anything from Milligan, but my gut says I would probably pick him.
Personally, the one I can't stand is Brad Sykes (responsible for many Brain Damage movies)...

Don't get me wrong,folks...I LIKE Godfrey Ho's movies, for the most part-they swing from incredibly boring to insanly "WTF is that all about?!" like a pendulum-perfect party fodder!
NINJA TERMINATOR remains a BAD movie classic!

Depends on what you're looking for in a bad director.
Cheese: Ed Wood
Shamelessness: Uwe Boll
Plagiarism: Bruno Matei
Insanity: Godfrey Ho
Betrayal: Micheal Bay

Sounds like the deadly sins of filmmaking. :tongueout:
Worst director ever? Oh that's LARRY BUCHANAN. The writer, producer and director of such sh!t classics like MARS NEEDS WOMEN and THE TRIAL OF LEE HARVEY OSWALD. From boring to ridiculous, here is LARRY BUCHANAN's messterpiece, "IT'S ALIVE" (1969) complete with the quotes. Poor TOMMY KIRK "stars" in this bucketful of crap. BILL THURMAN as Greely the "mad farmer" shows up as Coach in THE LAST PICTURE SHOW though it's thankfully a very small part. The whole crappy "IT'S ALIVE" movie is available on YouTube. You can watch it yourself and won't believe it:

Though "mad farmer" Greely states "It'll be over before you know it..." at about 18.5 minutes in, it's not. This one just goes on and on and on... mesmerized by it's incredible stupidity, the viewer becomes lulled into a trance of inanity to the point where you start giggling uncontrollably... and blubbering. Truly craptastic.
Larry Buchanan-yeah-his movies are gawd awful remkes of AIP sci fi-an d I do mean Gawdwaful-but...but-Mars Needs Women..no.
He just plain sucks.
BAD Big dicks.
Ahhhh. It exhausted me just thinking about Larry Buchanan-I cant even show my Bad movie freinds his films-because theey will commit suicide from sheer boredom.
Oh god...oh god...I think Ill have an aunerism just thinking of his swamp monster or eye creature movies.

Saw that on TV. It's one of those movies where you wait
forever for the monster to appear then regret having waited.
I really dislike Fred Olen Ray.
Edit: I've only seen Blood Shack (aka The Chooper), but it was enough for me to realise that Ray Dennis Steckler really blew.
In an interesting twist Larry Buchanan's first film was nominated for a Peabody award. I'm not making this up.
IMDB says so: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0118041/bio (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0118041/bio)

Anything in particular you like about him, Lester? As I've said I only saw Blood Shack so maybe I'm not being fair.....
