what is the most gloriously ridiculous rubber monster movie you have ever watched ? low budget, terrible special effects, and acting, unoriginal scripts etc?
Sting of Death and the Creeping terror might have the worst looking monster costumes in them. Also I'd include Curse of Bigfoot and Godmonster of Indian Flatts.

Rubber suit monsters weren't just a part of films, they were also a staple of classic Sci-Fi TV with Star Trek, The Outer Limits, and especially Doctor Who and the Irwin Allen shows (Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Lost in Space, Land of the Giants, The Time Tunnel) making very good use of them.

The TV shows usually have smaller budgets to work with, along with the fact that one goofy monster cannot ruin a whole series. I remember the older Dr. Who having some doozies.
Guiron is another awesome fellow. He looks like a gray bulldog with a butcher knife strapped to his head.

These are all wonderful but yeah the Mighty Gorga that is something.
That magnificent monster from It Conquered The World

When it's not busy conquering the world, it makes a handy coat rack
Octaman

There were a few doozies in the Godzilla films too although the TV shows Johnny Sokko and Ultraman delivered arguably far cheesier and sometimes surprisingly extremely cool too.
Here's King Caesar from Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla:

I love that movie for some reason. Might be the nonsensical plot, the cheesy monster, the idiotic townspeople, or the bargain-bin star power of Martin Landau, Ruth Buzzi and ridiculously miscast Jose Ferrer. Almost feel sorry for Jose.
And, of course, the kill at the drive-in cracks me up every time. "f**k off. Aaaaaaaagh!" :bouncegiggle:

It rides the line between "that sounds delicious" and "what the hell are you eating?!" I'd also like to know why the frisbee scene is shot in slow motion, something is just very off there.
