Title: Big pawn shop movie finds?
Post by: Brock on April 28, 2002, 05:10:42 PM
I was going around to some pawn shops yesterday and managed to secure copies of "Kingdom of the Spiders" starring William Shatner, and "The Crawlers," also known as Troll 3.  I haven't watched either yet but I'm pretty excited about the find.  Have any of you seen either of these?  Comments?

Ah Troll 3! I'm still wondering what they were thinking when they made the first one! Although I admit to laughing when he gets beat up by the troll when it looks like his little sister.

I caught a couple of scenes from Troll on TV, including the incredibly awkward "fire alarm/character introduction" scene. My jaw was on the floor watching all those stars parading across the screen, totally embarassing themselves. The fact that Michael Moriarty's character was named Harry Potter was the icing on the cake. The other part I saw was Sonny Bono being turned into a forest; I turned it off, realizing the movie could only go downhill from there.

Amazing what you can find in pawn shops.  I hit the ones around my home in Atlanta every few months, just to see what has popped in.  Also, I had the chance to visit mom a little while back and stopped by my favorite video liquidator on the East Coast.  They had a horde of movies for $1.00 each!  I must have purchased 50, including "Galactic Gigolo."
