To his other accomplishments, you can add that for many years, he sponsored a golf tournament at Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego County, California, the Andy Williams Pro-Am.
And a nice myth, but Lauren Bacall did her own singing in "To Have and Have Not" from 1944. Her singing was not dubbed by Andy Williams.

I always associate Williams with Christmas when I was a kid. Every December, the parents' vinyl Christmas LPs would come out, most of them dating from around the early 60s. Of all of them, I remember hearing Andy Williams the most, with Johnny Mathis a close second.
