Title: Mecha-Blog-Zilla's latest review: "Vamp"
Post by: TheDope on October 21, 2012, 11:41:17 PM
I'll be the first to admit that the Eighties had its share of problems... not the least of them were vampires.

They were so embarrassed for what they had to do to live forever back then.

Like Grace Jones, for example. (http://thegreatwhitedope.blogspot.com/2012/10/vamp-1986.html)

What I mostly remember of this was that the marketing suggested it starred Grace Jones as a sexy vampire stripper, and then she was barely in it. Big disappointment. I mean, that was my primary motivation for seeing it.

Jones' part in this thing warranted a credit like "...and Grace Jones as..." after all the other names. Big star in a small but significant role. Putting her name above the title and calling her the star? That's just plain deceptive.

And yeah, this movie couldn't figure out what the hell it was. Tried to be horror and comedy but didn't manage much of either.
