20 MILLION MILES TO EARTH (1957) on TCM tonight 8pm EST

It's later followed by EARTH VS. THE FLYING SAUCERS (1956) at 9:30pm (meh) and...
THE FIRST MEN IN THE MOON (1964) at 11pm which is a lot of fun!

A nice little Harryhausen marathon.

I got my pitchfork ready...because as we all know. One should ALWAYS poke the Ymir.

Great film!  I have fond memories of watching it as a child.  The attitude and emotions that Harryhausen invoke with just posture and the tail movement should be studied by anyone creating stop motion or CGI animals.

That poor Ymir.  All he wants is for people to stop poking him, but what humans seem unable to do when an alien creature is running around is to stop poking it.
