Hope all you East Coasters have your hatches battened down and are prepared. Good luck. Hurricanes/major storms are one of the things I do not miss about living on the East Coast.

I live in Billerica, Massachusetts, which is north of Boston not far from the New Hampshire border. I work in New Hampshire (which is where I am right now). So far, we've just had some rain. My area won't be hit as bad as some others. We are far enough east to avoid the brunt of the storm, which is heading for Western Massachusetts and New York. We are far enough inland that we won't get any of the nasty sea effects. A power outage may be looming, however . . .
Currently sitting in work at RI. I have no intetions of leaving early. It is gusty but nothing I haven't seen living around here before.
I see you guys are following Lindsay Lohan's advice!
"WHY is everyone in SUCH a panic about hurricane (i'm calling it Sally)..?" [Lohan] tweeted Sunday night. "Stop projecting negativity! Think positive and pray for peace."
We're right in the middle of the current projected path, but are not on the coast and will be shielded from the wind by New Jersey. Still, should make for quite a night tonight.
Stay dry and attache dto the ground everone, and I for one would appreciate some safety updates!

I had to work today. it was a little ridiculous. I'm holed up now with ample supplies https://twitter.com/lesterhalfjr/status/262983379526483969/photo/1/large
We're getting massive rain & wind right now. I had to work today (at a restaurant, no less, like people would come out), but we closed early in the afternoon. I came home to no phone or cable.
My aunt and her kids were evacuated, and the worse is yet to come.

You guys are going to get some of the worst of it. Stay safe.
If you look at the NOAA map showing Sandy's projected path over DE, we're right under the black line. The good thing of course is that the worst of the wind will be north of us.
I have been away for most of the day and have only recently been checking on news about it. For all on the east coast, be safe. Hoping for the best.
It's Frankenstürmen, actually.
I hope everyone is OK: the footage I saw was frightening. :buggedout:
I was watching aftermath footage this morning too; and wow. Where I live it's been drought and fires all year so it's kind of weirdly fascinating, but scary.
Hope everyone here is okay.
We didn't get hit very hard. My neighborhood is strewn with leaves and branches, but nothing serious. About 20% of the homes in my town lost power and many of them still have no power. My lights flickered 5 or 6 times during the storm, but they stayed on.
Allhallowsday hasn't posted in a couple of days and I believe he's in New Jersey. Probably just power issues.

Glad to hear it. I'm nervous for HappyGilmore right now, and for everyone who's gonna have to into November with no power. (Something like 6 million people? Just, damn.)
I just hope everyone's alright. I've done some distater relief work, so I've seen first hand what some storms not nearly as bad at that one can do. They can be outright nasty.
Also, is it just me, or doe Frankenstorm sound like something The Sy-Fy network would come up with?

Indeed. Hoping it is just power issues.
We lost power for about 34 hours. Parts of RI are still out I believe as of today.
Jersey & Delaware took the brunt of the damage. Where I live, not much of anything. I worked all week so we weren't badly hit.
Good to hear you're okay Happy!
Hope AllHallowsDay is doing alright.
Hi Happy! Glad you're OK!!
I hope AHD is all right...
Hey folks... I'm in New Jersey too, and Hurricane Sandy done did whooped our butts. Our power was out for nine and a half days, it just came back this afternoon around 4:30 PM. It's been a helluva week.
I'm in the Northern part of NJ so thankfully we escaped the major damage that hit the Shore areas, i.e. we didn't have the flooding that other parts of Jersey did, it just blew out all the lights and knocked down a LOT of trees.
Thankfully a member of our Church whose power came back a couple of days ago loaned us his generator to get us thru the duration, because it got hella cold the last several days. I owe that guy a beer.
I'm just glad to be getting back to normal and I'm DYIN' to watch a movie!!
