Still haven't found a publisher for the first one, but I am starting my second novel. Wrote the five page prologue and started the first chapter today. This writing stuff is very addictive!

How wonderful. Keep at it. You'll get better and better.
Got a Prologue and a Chapter One now. 22 pages in.
I wonder how long this one will take?

Well, less than a month in and I've completed six chapters - about 82 pages worth of text. This one is a much darker tale than my first novel, and is set entirely in the First Century AD, in Rome during the time of Augustus and Claudius. Lots of research required! But the story is progressing nicely, I think. I'll keep you guys posted.
That's great. I have a friend that can write some fun short stories, but that's as far as he can get. Glad you're still going.

Just how dark is it a burning corpse being raped? .......I need help. ._.
Not quite that dark. But my protagonist is capable of some pretty extreme nastiness!
@russell, LOL!!! I thought exactly the same thing!
Back at my new novel after a two week hiatus . . . finished Chapter 8 today and moving into Chapter 9 now.
This chapter involves some real unpleasantness, and as the dread event approaches, I find myself getting very qualmy about how to describe it. I'll be glad when this one is done.
Lots of progress this week - nearly 50 pages written! The story is taking some interesting curves along the way.
While it is not a humorous novel at all, I did write what I think is perhaps the funniest scene I have ever written in any story this evening.
Spoilers?
It involves an overweight prostitute, a denarius, and a case of mistaken identity.
BTW, I just want to give a HUGE shout-out to my good friend ER who has been a faithful proofreader and muse on both my novels - reading each chapter as I complete them and giving some incredibly constructive feedback.
Thank you so much, ER!!!!!!
Well, my second novel is nearing completion. I wrote about 8 pages of Chapter 26 tonight, and the manuscript is about 350 pages long. I have about 50 pages or so to go. It has been a very enjoyable project.
My working title is THE REDEMPTION OF PONTIUS PILATE.

Might I make a suggestion for a title?
How about PONTIUS PILATE: SHARK HUNTER?
If I go for a SyFy audience, I will bear that in mind!
