They didn't go in the theater in MST3K? Would there be consequences for not entering the theater?

I think I heard some where (I don't remember I'll google it later) and the ship gets flooded with poison gas or something.
But what I know, we would be really disappointed in the show.
Let me start searching.
Well, there are only two rooms on the ship.
I'm sure there'd be serious cabin fever.
Because if it's ok Wiki it MUST be true
"Dr. Clayton Forrester (and in later seasons, his evil would-be tyrant mother Pearl) has numerous ways to punish Joel/Mike for non-compliance, including shutting off the oxygen supply to the rest of the ship, and electric shocks."

I'll have to find the episode where he does that.

I think he does that in MST3K: The Movie. He does it to make Mike and the bots bow to him.
I remember a time or two on the series he reminded Joel that he controlled his oxygen supply.
