After living in our upstairs apartment for 4 years we finally are getting one on the bottom floor. We're really happy....what with Alan's occassional edema in his legs and my Diabetic foot pain. This is gonna help so much! Plus the youth pastor at our church is going to get the kids there to do a lot of lifting and moving for us. Yea! To top it off another lady is moving away so we got a nice sleeper sofa for free. Today is neat! :teddyr:
Good deal!
My sister got hit by a car about 5 years ago, and has had slight mobility issues since. She then goes out and buys a house with a nice long, steep staircase in it.. dumb@$$ :bouncegiggle:
Cool! When is the house-warming party?????
Is it ground level, Or 1st floor?
Ground level are more energy efficient.

Crash on your couch. Drink all your beer. And worst of all, clean his dirty undies in your bathroom sink.
That's good news, Tracy. When I moved into my apartment complex, some four or five years ago this month, I was suppose to move onto the ground floor, but they had to give that to a renter who was physically disabled. Now I live between "heaven and hell." One floor above me, and one floor below me. Never hear from the renters below me, but sometimes the renters above me sound like a herd of rampaging elephants.
And one has heard about the business office tenant, who was superstitious, who when showed what he thought was an office on the 13th floor, refused it, and took an office on the floor above. Not know that the floors in the building were numbered in the European fashion. Ground, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. So, when leaving his office one weekend night after working late, fell down the elevator shaft. They didn't find his body till the next Tuesday, as Monday was a national holiday and all the offices were closed.
