Bay Area FOX affiliate KTVU 2 might want to check their NTSB sources a little more closely. The station's news team just aired the (alleged) names of the pilots involved in the Asiana Airlines flight 214 crash, which include Captain Sum Ting Wong and Ho Lee Fuk.
That made me laugh . . . and it shouldn't! TOO SOON!! But . . . :bouncegiggle:
Technically ts not mocking he tragedy, but the gullibility of the news folks. But wow.

To say nothing of our old friend, Mike Hunt........
I was a wrestler in high school, and I knew a guy from another school named Michael Hawk. He went by Mike.
Now, I could say I haven't wrestled with Mike Hawk since high school, but none of you are going to buy that.
And somewhere there are probably two poor sods named Harold Dickey and Richard Head who are filling up their grade school logbooks with more fights that Muhammad Ali had in his entire career....

For $1, yessir. :teddyr:
Well the intern who confirmed these names got fired.

Wow! Didn't see that coming!!
:teddyr:
I'm going to stick out a white male neck here...
I'm rather annoyed about the "racism" claims to this joke. I really think it (while in bad taste) is not racially motivated, but a variant on Bart Simpson's Phone calls to Moe's Tavern... Amanda Hugginkiss, or from when I was kid.... Mike Hunt, Hugh Jass, Ben Dover, etc.
I fallon the left side of politics in these issues (and have LOW tolerance for racism), but I really think thats reaching... its a dumb joke in bad taste, but its not racism (in my book)
I'm gonna' stick my white male neck out here too on a similar topic that never gets the attention it needs...reverse racism.
The deliberate and calculated refusal of the ACLU and people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton to recognize it has created a shield that allows all who practice it virtually endless protection from lawsuits and other legal challenges. Thanks to these individuals, it is now officially a crime to point out the wrongdoing of non-White individuals, and that is wrong.
I have heard some liberals argue that to "reverse" racism means to "stop" racism.
Actually, they know damned well that reverse means "to go in the other direction," which is what reverse racism does. And it hurts just as equally. It's time to can the BS wordplay. It's about time everyone saw thru it and called it what it truly is: Racism. PERIOD. But, the ACLU needs their donations and Sharps and Jacks need their jobs, so.....
Also, America needs to stop concentrating on "White on (insert name of race) crimes and begin looking at the dozens of Black-on-Black crimes, and other non-White to non White crimes that take place in America every day, more so than White-on-Black.
If we hold White individuals to a higher standard, then surely, should we not hold ALL men of ALL races to the same standards? Oh I forgot, that's illegal too. Just some thoughts.

Interns are generally unpaid labor anyway. They're like potato chips. Crunch all you want, they'll make more.
Poor dumb intern. If someone phoned you at your place of work and read off those names to you, would it not be a perfectly normal reaction to assume it was meant as a prank and to respond in kind? "Yeah, sure, that was them all right!" It's that dumb.

Or his famous mistaken call to Jack Bauer:
Kiefer Sutherland: "I'm Jack Bauer, who the hell are you?"
Bart: "I'm..... Ahmed Adoudi." :teddyr: :teddyr:
My mother, a former corrections officer, booked a guy who was brought to the jail ne night, and had all she could do to stop laughing because he gave his name as Peter Rabbitt. Seriously.
