I know of several sites that think they have followed this advice, only to aggressively weed out the constructive faction, leaving the real a-holes behind to rule the roost. Pity.
This place is an anomaly. A happy aberration. :teddyr: Andrew is a magician! (Presumably with a little help from the merry band.)

People here are so nice we very rarely have to ban anyone. It's because Andrew has created a culture of friendliness here.
Thanks for the fix Rev!

Andrew is a magician!
Or a man with a gun who we dare not cross because he
KNOWS how to use it.

There is a responsibility that I have to "hold the line" and hopefully create a balance of discussion and respect. However, and this is a big however, I cannot think of any recent time (and I mean in years) when I have needed to do that. We have been very fortunate to have such a great group of people. Thank you all, very much.

No: we should thank
you for starting this home for all us bad movie lovers. *HUG*
The missus and I really appreciate the climate of civility here; over the years, we've had the misfortune of joining sites that seem similar to those small Southern towns in 50's movies, run by "Boss So-And-So", if you don't fit the ruling clique's philosophy, you're villified scourged, and invited to commit seppuku onscreen.
Even when a friend (whom we'd invited to join),had issues with others here, he was treated with respect, and folks here simply made it plain that he just wasn't a good fit at the time.
Thank all of you.
