Not sure about the suggestion not to buy. If it is the one by John Russo, who helped write Night Of The Living Dead, then it is trashy, mean-spirited fun. Not as pure evil as the novel version. Oh, and I'd recommend getting a widescreen version, if you can.
Here are a couple I've been wanting, but something tells me not to pull the trigger:

This wins Most Gimmicky Title Ever.
Well, the Blood Fart Lake movies are by Chris Seaver, so gimmicky is actually a selling point for him. Personally, I love Mulva: Zombie Ass Kicker, but everyone else's mileage may vary.

I'd love to get this:

But it's $17 used plus $4 shipping. I'll probably give in soon, but for right now I'm too cheap :teddyr:

I'll end up with the entire collection . . . eventually . . .

What's with the dislike of Midnight? Just curious, not trying to start anything. It isn't a great movie, but toilet paper threats...that's just evil.

I hated it and I have reason to believe that at least half the people that saw it agree with me. I felt the acting was awful, the dialogue horrendous, the plot development lame, really; I could go on. Heh, even on IMDB one of the actors in the film posted on a message board and said that "those who thought the film was total garbage.. I completely understand.". :)

But...but...wouldn't that description fit most of the movies we are here to worship and chat about? I know it defines a good 70% of the movies I watch.
Come on, let Trev come out to play. One man's trash is another man's treasure. Worst case scenario, he soils his undies because he finds it horrible. His undies won't notice and he'll only be out a few bucks and 80-odd minutes of his life.
Personally, I rather like the movie. A bit too much talk during the first third, but it builds to a fairly decent but clunky carnival horror ride type ending, what with a garish lighting and the heartless violence. However, I will NEVER defend it as being either art or terribly smart.

Love to get these movies but
A. The only ones Ive found for sale (legally) are in different DVD region
B. REALLY EXPENSIVE (before posting I checked amazon and a copy of Split Second was being sold for over a thousand dollars).
I'm easy but Midnight is just too dull and awful for my taste. As for DVDs I really wanted to buy but didn't: Razor Blade Smile (1998). It looks like fun cheese but it also looks like pure crap.

Razor Blade Smile is fun, and the lead actress is wonderful to watch, but it's one of those that would be prime for a remake with a better script and a way bigger budget.
Here's one I keep putting on the backburner:

I thought you were joking and then I checked Amazon and found that you weren't. :buggedout: :buggedout: Over $1000 for a DVD? :buggedout:

"Stitch the b***h!" Seeing the edited version on TV, that's the only fun thing I took out of it. But for the amount of money it cost to make, under $40,000 (1990's prices) it's not total crap neither. It is the final film of actor Dave Warbeck, and if one is looking for a good double feature to put one off of oral sex for the holidays, this is the film to see, along with "Lair of the White Worm."
