...and found this clip tonight.
THE ROLLING STONES on The MIKE DOUGLAS Show 1964:

It's hard for me to choose any Stones songs as favorites, but I dig these two a lot. Tomorrow, it could be different.

And, I don't wanna de-rail the thread, but it's slightly on topic. I'm a big Stones fan, and I loved this:

A tribute in polka form to these classics:
It's Only Rock and Roll (but I Like It)
Brown Sugar
You Can't Always Get What You Want
Honky Tonk Women
Under My Thumb
Ruby Tuesday
Miss You
Sympathy for the Devil
Get Off of My Cloud
Shattered
Let's Spend the Night Together
(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction

Typical
WEIRD AL YANKOVIC: brilliant, annoying, overlong, unforgettable... thanks for sharing!!! I liked it.
I first listened to the Stones (on purpose, I mean) around 1990, when they sounded a lot like arena rock. This made this little gem even more surprising to me when I watched "The Darjeeling Limited". I didn't know the Stones could sound like this.

"Faraway Eyes" must be one
STONES response to
GRAM PARSONS whom they loved (he was dead by the time the song was recorded). I think his Pop / Country sensibility really connected with the
STONES who I believe were friends with
PARSONS.

Nice selections, thanks for sharing.
"Too Much Blood" is from
Undercover, what some then considered the last, very last,
STONES album... but of course it wasn't. Apparently, we're well into chapter three for them.

Beast of Burden. A live version.

In retrospect, yeah, Beast is my favorite song by them. Still.

The "rap" that
MICK JAGGER delivers in
"Faraway Eyes" always reminds me of
GRAM PARSONS' rap in
"Hippie Boy" from
THE FLYING BURRITO BROTHERS album
The Gilded Palace of Sin...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EGjInUEprtY
And, before
THE ROLLING STONES Sticky Fingers album was released with
"Wild Horses" on it,
THE FLYING BURRITO BROTHERS "covered" it... nearly a year earlier...(!) on
Burrito Deluxe!!
JAGGER /
RICHARDS thought well enough of
GRAM PARSONS to let his band record their song before they did.
