Title: help....protagonist at the end drinks a sleeping potion

this movie is bugging me.....
so at the end the hero accidentally drinks extra drop of sleeping potion and wakes up at an post apocalyptic world..... please help me name this movie!!!

There is an alternate ending to "Army of Darkness" that exactly matches what you describe.  It's what I thought of when you described the scene.  If it is not that movie, is there anything else you can remember?  Other events, what characters there were, what they looked like, etc..

oh you are actually right....thanks alot there is actually two endings :D
