Toronto Mayor Rob Ford is the gift that keeps on giving all year long;

:buggedout:
And apologized (http://abcnews.go.com/International/toronto-mayor-rob-ford-apologizes-crude-oral-sex/story?id=20889126) for it later;
QuoteToronto's beleaguered mayor who has surprised his city with almost daily revelations about crack use, drug purchases and drunken stupors shocked a live news conference today with a crude comment about oral sex.
Mayor Rob Ford apologized for the comment a short time later, and blamed the "pressure" of his ongoing scandal.
This is a guy who definitely doesn't deserve to be a mayor or any other political figure. He's a punk, plain and simple.
Though he did coin one of the best CYA phrases heard in a while: "I've got more than enough to eat at home." :bouncegiggle:
How charming...I've got a cure for his foul mouth.

I highly recommend...

Yeah he LOOKS like he has more than enough to eat at home...
This could be the greatest gift to late night comics since the Monica Lewinsky scandal!
I'll never forget Conan O'Brien's tribute to Bill Clinton as he left office:

He's been going for a few years, its like a huge never ending train wreck. and you don't have to feel sorry for him!
If anything, I feel sorry for the people of Toronto having to put up with Mayor Ford.

Now
that was a piece of writing, that really summed up Clinton very well. Of course I'm not going to miss him that much, but for the reasons Conan cited, in that "don't touch that dial" way he put it, I just
might miss him :bouncegiggle: Good post, Indy!

I heard on the radio today that Ford and his brother are getting their own reality show!
It lasted one episode.
The local news this morning said it took four hours to record and eight hours to edit. (Which made all the people on the news desk laugh uproariously) This made it too expensive to produce: especially in light of the fact that they could not get any sponsors. Apparently no business wanted to be associated with him. Mind you the one airing did get the biggest audience the channel had ever reached, at 150,000 viewers.
That it existed at all fed my disappointment in humanity; that it was cancelled restores a small light of hope regarding the ultimate triumph of 'class' over 'crass'.
My question is, how can a guy smoke crack and still be obesely overweight?
How did he even get elected in the first place?

Well, first he has to consume enough beer to achieve a 'drunken stupor'. That would appear to be a considerable quantity and we'll assume it isn't 'lite'.

Who ever thought voting for this clown was a good idea, anyway? You fail, Toronto.
And he made the new yorker:

Don't fret, my Canadian friends! We Americans would welcome a politician such as this in our country with open arms. :cheers:

Which says more about America than it does the rest of the story :-)
