Words fail me and Frank Capra is rolling in his grave.
Who thought that making a sequel to a) a legendary movie and b) 1946 movie was a good idea? Is it okay to hit the guy who thought of this in the head with a chair?

I'll reserve judgement until I've seen it. As long as it's not a Hallmark Channel production I can have hope!
It's A Wonderful Life: The Rest Of The Story
Brought to you by The Asylum
I saw this in the Comments section on Yahoo. This guy summed it up perfectly:

The REAL Hollywood script: George Bailey's grandson is a misunderstood transsexual vegan who decides to kill him/herself because of the insensitive tofu jokes from the meat-eating, gun-toting, Tea-publican rednecks of Bedford Falls. A non-denominational, higher-order life form (angel) appears during the non-denominational, winter solstice event (Christmas) to prevent poor misunderstood George from taking his/her own life. Can't wait!!!

Return of the Killer Shrews has become a Hollywood Guideline. :bouncegiggle:
I actually just saw an article on this in the newspaper and Paramount said they were going to fight it in court if necessary to stop the sequel from being made.

I disagree. Boo to Paramount for being a bully. The movie will likely suck, but everyone has the right to make a crappy movie. That's the principle this site is built on!

It's one thing to
remake a movie and fail, it's another to trash a legacy. That's my concern, that this sequel would have trashed the legacy that

Ehh, I don't like WONDERFUL LIFE much anyway. They're remaking PLAN 9 as a zombie movie and I'm not even concerned about that. Go ahead and remake VERTIGO as a romantic comedy, it's fine by me. Doesn't affect the original.
This one was better than Capra's movie anyway...
