If you watched British comedy in the 80's, you were sure to have seen Rik Mayall. Co-creator and star of the huge British comedy The Young Ones, Rik has sadly passed away at the age of 56. I loved The Young Ones and could recite entire episodes by heart.

The Young One is one of my favorite British Comedies back in the 80's. They are all crazy on that show one of my favorite episode is the one when the guys tried to hurry to get on a game show. I know some people hate that movie but Drop Dead Fred is still one of my favoites. R.I.P Rik. :bluesad:
Funnily enough I watched "Errors of the Human Body" last night and he had a bit role in it. Thought to myself 'I know that guy' but didn't look into it further, until his face was plastered all over the news today.
Big fan of his stuff in Bottom and the one series of "Filthy Rich & Cat Flap". Many people might not have realized he was part of Bad News, the british version of Spinal Tap too.
Same here with the Young Ones. It was the punkest show ever

This news saddens me. I enjoyed his performances, and he was much too young. RIP. :bluesad:
