Title: Man collects souls of girls on dates
Post by: shaderaid on July 12, 2014, 02:24:30 AM
I am so glad I found this site. This film has been on my mind for maybe a decade now and I have been unable to figure out what it is. I saw it in my youth.

Here is what I remember....

A guy (mid-twenties maybe?) seduces a girl at a bar or club and she basically goes missing. I believe the story follows her father and sister (younger?) as they try to find out what happened to her. I don't remember the details but eventually they find out that this guy steals the souls of the girls he picks up and stores them in some giant soul ball (in the woods? maybe the ball glows orange?) and father tries to get justice for this daughter and release her soul so she can rest in peace or something like that. I think I remember the soul orb having tons of souls in it and being quite big.

I think it might have been an 80's movie, but I'm not sure.

If this does get answered, thanks so much. You will have solved something that has stumped me for years and years. Maybe I will even watch it haha.

Details are a little than what you're describing but maybe "Hideaway" (1995) with Jeff Goldbloom and Alicia Silverstone?

This shares some elements with Disney's The Watcher in the Woods (1980) - search for a missing soul, woods, orb of light - but I don't recall anything about seduction or a bar/club (which would be out of place in a Disney film, but then Watcher isn't a 'typical' Disney film!).
