You know we're going to watch it.
Might as well start the thread in advance.
It's less than 24 hours away!!!
I'm just gonna take a wild guess here, but is it premiering on the SyFy Channel perchance? :bouncegiggle:
You know it, baby!!! :teddyr:
how am i supposed to get through the next 6 hours and 22 minutes??? can't wait!

Oh yeah, my sons and I are stoked. SyFy has been marathon-ing (is that a word?) all of their past shark flicks all week long so we've been OD'ing on "Ghost Shark" and the "Mega Shark" flicks.
For Z-movie addicts, today is like Super Bowl Sunday! :bouncegiggle:
Showtime!
Tara Reid got her hand bit off, but she should make a full recovery :teddyr:
What a great beginning. Ozzie's little girl gets decapitated, and they give a shout out to AIRPLANE.
There's a whole lotta cameos goin' on.
Uh-oh, they're throwin' sewer pipe alligators into the mix.
I loved this movie as soon as I saw Ted Striker.
"He jumped the shark". ba-dum-tssh
That Tara Reid, what an actress! :teddyr:
OK, I missed the early show because of VBS, so I am catching the second feature.
Here goes - cameos by Will Wheaton, Ted Striker, Ozzy's daughter, Kelly Ripa and Michael
Strahan - and that's in the first ten minutes!
"we're talking at least 12 inches of sharks!" :bouncegiggle: :bouncegiggle:
Matt Lauer, Al Roker, and Judd Hirsch! This keeps getting better! LOL
Aaaaand an alligator in the sewer FTW!!!!!!
I thought it was a hoot. Definitely better than the first.
...I kinda wanted to see a shark eat Al Roker or Matt Lauer, though...
oh, well.
Dang! How long does a giant bronze head keep rolling, anyway???
SHARKPIZZA!!!!!!!!!!! :teddyr: :teddyr: :bouncegiggle:
"Up to two inches of shark per hour!"
HOW STUPID CAN THIS MOVIE GET????
STAR WARS ripoff?? Really????
This movie just jumped the shark - and baked it, and ran over it, and . . .
Not just a sharknado but an EF-5 Sharknado!!!
Flaming sharks falling from the sky!!
You know, I am not sure that it is physically possible to split a fifteen foot great white down the middle with a chainsaw that quickly!
Could Tara Reid be the next MACHINE GIRL??
Shark stomp by Kelly Ripa!!!!!
Shark skewer by Matt Lauer!
Ride em Sharkboy!!!
Wait - the same hand? the same ring? REALLY??
I just suffered a cheese overdose!!!
CHEESIEST BAD MOVIE OF ALL TIME!!!!
Yee haw!!
Good night, Mrs. Calabash, wherever you are!!!!
I enjoyed the hell out of this. I did like the first one a little more but this was great in it's own ways.

Rather liked it. However, I still find problems with Asylum and scale. Creatures are quasi-forgivable, however, Tara Reid losing a hand that then becomes here entire hand and forearm is kind of bothersome in my opinion. Oh well, otherwise I laughed quite a bit and enjoyed myself. The fact that the movie had Al Roker and Matt Lauer saying Sharknado was worth the price of admission. Many other great parody moments and the movie just enjoying itself was great fun. I haven't seen many bad movies lately and it was great to have a moment with an Asylum movie.
I was also thrown by Vivica. Something about her face bothered me.
    Can't wait to see a third and awaiting Sharktopus vs. Pteracuda. :teddyr:
Twas fun. I liked the opening segment the best, but all in all it was good time.
It may have set new records for number of product placements and cameo appearances.
Most ludicrous line in the movie was Tara Reid saying "I got an idea". :teddyr:
I'm afraid I fell sound asleep for the last third of it. Now I'll never know if New York survived :bluesad:

Could Tara Reid be the next MACHINE GIRL??
Absolutely, with her range of emotional expression any type of role is a possibility.
Things I learned from SHARKNADO 2:
... New York City sewer alligators are no match for Sharknado sharks.
...There are giant tanks of highly explosive Freon at the top of the Empire State Building, just .... well, just because.
...It's not a good idea to name your airline after the town in "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" and "Halloween III." Bad luck will follow.
...the New York Mets have a great sense of humor for allowing their ballpark and trademarks to be used/abused in this manner. I'm a Yankee fan, but ... kudos!
...Matt Lauer has Ninja level shark-slaying skills.
Had a full-fledged Sharknado festival for the kids last night. They enjoyed it a lot. I need to see it again, but at present I also think that I like the original a little bit better. It was fun trying to catch the numerous cameos; Al Roker alone was incredibly funny for some reason.
Accidentally making the problem worse by setting the flying sharks on fire was pretty funny. The kids and I have made up silly weapons, which include guns that shoot sharks and flaming cats at people. So, the flying, flaming sharks made Jenna, Andy, and Garrett laugh like crazy.
We also noticed that the hand become an entire forearm at some point, but in light of the rest of the movie - decided that trying to complain about that was ridiculous.

Last year when The Asylum was taking fan suggestions for a sub-title for "Sharknado 2" via Twitter and Facebook, my 11 year old said they should use flaming sharks, because "the only thing cooler than sharks falling from the sky, is sharks falling from the sky ON FIRE." Needless to say, he was
thrilled when fiery sharks started raining down on Manhattan last night!! :bouncegiggle:
now,y'all know i'm a little strange. my FAVORITE part was the weather reports showing the sharks on the weather map, lol!

LOL, loved that too :bouncegiggle:
We'll obviously watch it but I feel like I hate it with genuine hate, I hate it so badly it's not funny anymore. What the f**k is the point in an INTENTIONALLY BAD MOVIE THAT IS HIGHLY PUBLICIZED. When I saw this mass of shark films in 2012 I thought "what the hell are these guys doing", presumably looking for what sharknado 2 has achieved.
how about just don't watch it then? I know I won't be... :teddyr:
thanks jack,lol!
josso,i take it you aren't into larry blamire movies then?
