Title: The Expoingables (2014)
Post by: Trevor on August 22, 2014, 02:56:27 AM
I'm planning to see it over the weekend: I know it hasn't been a box-office hit but I liked the other two - especially the second one, with Chuck Norris popping up - and I will admit to having a little crush on Ronda Rousey, so I will go see it and I will probably will end up liking the film.

I will let you guys know what I thought on Monday.  :teddyr:

The MMA fighter Ronda Rousey?  I heard she was starting a movie career.  She sure is hot   I couldn't imagine the mindset of a girl who likes to fight, much less likes it so much she spends all day every day practicing for it though.  Kind of like a hot babe with the mind of Chuck Liddell lol.

I finally seen this movie yesterday! I do not understand all the hate from the critics, I enjoyed it.

What the critics hate. We love at this website. Which is why it's called badmovies.

It was alright...could have done without the younger actors (Ronda did a good job, though), but the addition of Snipes, Banderas and Ford made for a good ride.
Was little bit p**sed about the toned down violence though...will watch out for the BD-release.

I didn't like this one as much as I did the first two. To be honest the reason I like these is to see all the 80s heros again in some kick butt roles. Plus they were rated R eye candy blood splatter fests.  Number 3 went to a PG-13 mess and they had to start with " the new generation" which ruined the film for me. I hope they end the series here becuae I have no interest in the new crew.

The Expendables 3 was awesome... just like the 1st and 2nd.

Stallone, Snipes, Gibson = BIG A+ in this film.

Banderas was funny. He made me laugh at the end!

Ronda Rousey was tough. She did a great job! Actually all of the actors did a great job.

Couture “So, why’d you get locked away?”, Snipes replies, “Tax evasion”

Didn't like it as much as the first one (which is my favorite of the series), and I wanted to like Rhonda in this movie but her acting was definitely not her strongest skill set.  Fortunately, she did well in her action scenes.

This movie series needs to do a crossover with the Fast and Furious franchise, seeing how Vin Disel and The Rock are the only two action stars on the planet that haven't appeared in the Expendables movies.

I was surprised to see Keelsey Grammer in this movie.  I had no idea he was in it until his character showed up.

I always wondered why no - Kurt Russell, Carl Weathers, Steven Seagal, Jackie Chan, Mr T or Bolo Yeung yet?

Is there anyone else that I may have missed from the 80's action flicks?

Steven Seagal

I know why he wasn't in any of these: he has an issue with the producers.

I would like to see Cynthia Rothrock in the next one.

They could throw in some fake Bruce Lees perhaps? Where's Bruce Le or Bruce Li these days?

JaseSF - Hmm fake Bruce Lee? a fake couldn't mirror 1% of Lee's talent. They have Jet Li he'll do.

Trevor - Yes! Cynthia Rothrock - good idea.

Rothrock had her own "Expendables"-Movie this year alongside Zoe Bell, Brigitte Nielsen, Vivica A. Fox and Kristanna Loken...it's called Mercenaries.
Not been able to check it out yet, but who knows...it's Asylum, but that doesn't really bother me.

How about some of the 70s blaxploitation icons (of those who are still with us)? Pam Grier maybe? Perhaps the modern stars like Michael Jai White and Samuel L. Jackson?

Or perhaps James Ryan from Kill And Kill Again?
