THE LATHE OF HEAVEN (1980) is one of the best films made for Television and a favorite of mine.

Yup; I watched it back in '80 and was completely blown away.
I remember those three titles as books. Must catch up on my viewing.

I am watching it now thanks to
Alandhopewell . He posted a link. Watch it. It is special.
YES! Saw that one as well, Alandhopewell. Interesting show.
I always found it strange that Heinlan's stories dont get made into movies-beyond DESTINATION MOON and STARSHIP TROOPERS. Yeah the BRAIN EATERS.
I really enjoy Heinlan-even though he is a militaristic sex maniac.. :twirl:
Of course HP Lovecraft was very racist. Didnt like asians at all-had an unnatural fear of them-which is reflected in his stories.
I dont know where Im going with this. :bluesad:
Heinlein: don't forget The Puppet Masters (1994) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0111003/ (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0111003/) (though you might like to) but that's all I can think of. Seems to me Lazarus Long could be right up there with John Carter as a central character for a series of movies. Not so sure about Valentine Michael Smith... ;) Likely we'll never find out.
X-1 did some of his stories as shows. Might look 'em up.
Interesting take on the politics of the day in the CBC adaptation of THE KRAKEN WAKES.
Fit the year it was made. have to check out the book again to compare notes.
