Title: Rev. Powell's Under-the-Radar gambles

We'll see if I keep this up. Anyone can join in with similar movies.

Every week I look at all the new release movies listed on Rotten Tomatoes. The idea here is for me to post some "under the radar" new movies that aren't getting a wide release or a lot of buzz, but that look like they could be good, or bad-good. In fact, these movies will probably be awful, but there's always that outside chance... they're a gamble.

Interstellar (2014) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0816692) - I find these sci-fi films are often amazing or terrible, do really want to see this when it comes out though

Wetlands is fun and much more heartfelt than the trailer seems.  Lots of 'gross' stuff happens but I have to admit I didn't think it was actually that 'gross'.  The lead actress is fantastic and the soundtrack is pretty rad.

German movie based on controversial best selling book "Feuchtgebiete" (Wetlands) written by German/British former music video VJ Charlotte Roche

The movie was produced by 20th Century Fox Germany, released last year, and had a solid theatrical run. Critics weren't exactly wowed by the movie, however.

It looks better made than the original films, but the Left Behind books irritate me so much I can't imagine enjoying one.

From the director of District Nine comes this 'Short Circuit' type film about a robot that finds himself aware.  Extra odd is the fact that members of Die Antwood are in what looks to be more of a family movie [with violence] in an interesting change of pace from Blomkamp's normal high concept action fare.

[Also is it just me or are there alot of 'machines becoming aware' movies either out or coming out soon?]

Hmm-that will be something. Imma big fan of the original-I like Spike Lee- goes inna catogory of  It Looks Like I May Watch It.
My girlfreind likes this kinda weird s**t-so I gotta.  She aint no dummy-shes smart as a whip-she calls my dumb ass out all time-shes silly,smart,doesnt do drugs or drink-works like a bee-and funny as hell-I love her.Thanx!

Fact is_ I have more tolerence of the awful Big Mama movies and any romance that features all blacks s**t then she has of my BLOOD FREAK or I DRINK YOUR BLOOD-but I dont think thats a race thing-thats just common sense-nobody likes BLOOD FREAK.

I showed her BLOOD FRAK-she kept turning to me and saying-"Really,Ronny,REALLY?"
I was like-Its good ReallY!!!
She made me turn it off.  :bluesad:
But I sat threw all them dam Big Mama  movies-shes lucky I am good and usta garbage!

Aw man, I really thought Tiana was a keeper. But she doesn't like BLOOD FREAK? I know nobody's perfect, but that's pretty close to a deal breaker! Maybe it's just because she's too young, maybe she'll come around. Keep working on her.
