This movie opened with one of the most disgusting scenes I've ever watched - a woman trapped in a filthy bathroom, defecating and vomiting uncontrollably, then passing out on a floor covered with excrement. It was vile, and I'm still not sure what on earth it had to do with the rest of the movie - the story of a sanitation worker named Jack who is trapped in an underground sewer by a pair of serial killers.
Stuck in a filthy cesspit with dead bodies and rats, Jack slowly morphs into a hideous creature, covered with sores and poop, called SEPTIC MAN.
Some interesting gore effects and makeup and decent screenwriting save this bizarre film from being a pure grossout flick, but it's still only for viewers with a pretty strong stomach.
I was enjoying a late breakfast when I clicked on this :buggedout:
Are you sure his name was Jack and not Jacques or something?
Why do I want to see this to test the gross-out factor now? What's my problem!? :buggedout:
Sounds like Nukie.
Well, the screenplay was by Tony Burgess, the guy behind one of my favorite recent films, Pontypool. So I'll watch it.
However, I've read several of his novels now and he's very hit or miss.
