So, I only remember vagulely about this movie. What I remember the most was the beginning started out at night, with a black guy robbing a bank or a jewelry store and he gets into a high speed chase that doesn't last long and ends up with him crashing and (i believe) he dies. I thought it was Forest Whitaker but after licking up all of his movies and not finding it, I doubt it was him. The rest of the movie is about 3 or 4 other characters who's stories all end up intertwining together that created a very unpredictable and Great storyline! It was on netflix and I seen it sometime between 2008-2012 and it wasn't a very well known movie.... any help would be highly appreciated!!
on another note.. one other movie I been looking for and the only scene I remember was this asian woman and she was tied or handcuffed at the ankle outside during the daytime by a backyard pool and she uses a crushed up soda can to cut her heel skin off to escape.. was not a foriegn movie and I seen it on cable sometime between 2001-2005 on showtime or cinemax...
any ideas!!?
Sounds like Paul Haggis' Crash (2004).
no unfortunately not Crash.. it wasn't as well known as Crash was. It was also not a movie called Powder Blue. Thanks for your input though stair!
nobody else?.
It's older than when you saw it, but it sounds a bit like DEEP COVER (1992) with Laurence Fishburn in the main role and Jeff Goldblum playing a bit against type. Glynn Turman was the robber at the beginning (Fishburn's character's father).

My rental log on Netflix goes all the way back to when I first signed up as a member in January 2010. That would be the best route to go.

The Air I Breathe (2007)
