I'm suprised there's been no thread about this....
Gotham FOX TV Series Official Extended Trailer + Trailer Review! Batman Prequel! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KPOVYhi1UL0#ws)
I've been watching it the past few weeks, and I'm really pleasantly suprised. There are some alterations to the mythos, but they move the story along, rather than making it something it isn't meant to be, i.e. bringing Kim Basinger to the Cave.
Comments?
I've been trying to keep up with it via Fox On Demand but I'm perennially a few weeks behind. I think I have three or four episodes to go before I'm caught up.
But anyway, I've enjoyed what I've seen quite a bit. It's an interesting twist on the Batman myth. Every version I've ever read/seen starts with Bruce's parents being murdered, then instantly flashes forward 20+ years to him all grown up and kicking massive criminal ass as Batman. It's a cool idea to "fill in the gaps" of what happened in between.
I love it. I like their take on it.
As stated, most versions start with their death and flash forward with moments of flashbacks to years prior.
The Penguin has always been a favorite, but this is HIS show.
Seen a few episodes, and while it isn't bad, it feels to me like just more Batman cash-ins.

Give it time....there's certainly a danger of that, but they might manage to avoid it.
I'm really liking this show so far. The Penguin character is my favorite at the moment.
Great show. Penguin really steals it, but I also like Jim Gordon and his partner. Not to forget Nigma. And I can't wait to see how they will put Joker into the mix.
They kinda hinted at this character that appeared last night as being Joker. Not sure it'll pan out. Given the character's history, etc. So.
But Penguin is my favorite character. Riddler is growing.
Before this show goes off the air, they need at least one certain episode. In order to help young Bruce Wayne make some new friends, Alfred arranges him to spend time with some kids his own age. Like the kid of some town folks who are just visiting Gotham and are maybe in a little trouble (being mugged or something) so Alfred is helping them. (but we really don't learn their names)
And at the end of the episode-Bruce Wayne tells the kid "Nice meeting you Clark, if I'm ever in Kansas I'll look you up".
I totally lost track of this show around the mid-season mark. I have no idea how many episodes I've missed so I hope it comes to Netflix eventually so I can get caught up.

18 episodes are out right now and they are having some kind of break right now till april.
So, Nygma finally snapped and showed real signs of being The Riddler.
I'm shocked at the killing of Maroni, considering Harvey Dent is a featured player here.
