..... that a young shy graduate stood under a tree looking at a very ominous looking building and wondering what the hell he was doing there. First day of just another job, or so he thought.
That was Friday, December 1, 1989 and I was the dude standing under a tree, wondering what the heck I was doing there. :buggedout: :buggedout:
I had just found my life's work but didn't know it yet: 25 years later, I still don't know it yet as that day seems like yesterday. I hope that I have made a difference in the lives of the hundreds of people I've worked with over the years and I hope I've put paid to the myth that public servants don't care about their work, nor the public they serve.
18 years left to go - I better make them good ones.
I thought you were going to say "when Sergeant Pepper taught the band to play"
Just kidding Trevor, congrat's on doing something you love for a living
Congratulations and Happy Anniversary, Trevor! By now you must be a fixture there and quite the asset. Somebody made a very smart move when they hired you!
Congrats, Trevor! Here's to many more happy years.
Keep at it, ya crazy...wait...if Canadians are Canucks, and we Norte Americanos are Yanks...what do we call youse guys?

After that eventful afternoon in 1974 at my hometown cinema, I was never the same and the movie bug bit me hard and what was once my hobby is now my work. Strange how things turn out. :teddyr:

Indeed I am a fixture here: colleagues hung me up by my pants jeans buckle from one of the light fixtures here the other day.

Us guys are referred to as "Saffers" or "The Rainbow Nation Peeps".
Me? I am proudly African.
And what's the first thing I did the day after my 25th?
I delivered a digital tape for a client.
Same as it's always been, I guess. :teddyr:
