It seems small to me having flown in and out of it so many times, but it is actually bigger than I thought. While the hugest varies, depending upon who you ask, most will agree that the largest airport in the world and the U.S. is Atlanta International, and thereafter from largest to smallest . . .
02. Beijing
03. London Heathrow
04. Chicago O'Hare
05. Tokyo International
06. L. A. International
07. Paris Charles De Gaulle
08. Dallas Fort Worth International
09. Frankfurt
10. Hong Kong International
Though, some people would put Denver International at 32,290 acres as the largest airport in size. And taking into account all of the times I have flown into and/or out of the country, I have flown into and/or out from more than half of the airports mentioned. And Bob, did you think to use Skylink at DFW? It is the transportation system that connects all the terminals.

See what makes that list of biggest airports interesting to me is that I had a connecting flight from O'Hare to my destination and I didn't think it was nearly as big at Fort Worth. Then again I didn't have to change gates there so that may have played a role in that.
As for the Skylink, I did not use that. I was right where my original gate was when the announcement was made and I saw signs indicating where I had to walk to find the new gate. However a friendly lady who traveled in the same row as I did to Fort Worth did.
