This looks promisingly awful.

"As World War Two rages on, the allies are about to push the Nazis out of North Africa. That's when the Nazis turn up the heat, unleashing their secret Weapon - dragons."

Ah...hah.
I love Mustangs too, but what about the P-47 and P-38? No love for the rest of the family? Yeah...
My guess, the dragons either have T-stoff/C-stoff fuels for the flame (Think A$$blasters) or they put 'magic bullets' in the .50 cals. Only explination for they go boom.
Since the dragons breathe fire, it stands to reason that they have flammable and possibly explosive chemicals in their bodies. I don't know if the tracers in the Mustangs would be hot enough to set that off, but they could potentially load with incendiaries.
Damn my love of dragons. :bouncegiggle:
If "Dragons vs Fighter Pilots" had been the actual title for this movie I would have lost my cool, sick of lame titles like that.
Although, 'Mustangs Vs. Dragons' would have had some style.
If this is in Tuisia, they should have had P-40s...Sharkmouth Kittyhawks of the RAF...I'm just sayin'...
As a basic premise, this is beautiful - almost on par with Sharnado. I'm ready to watch it now.
Seriously, I enjoy strange mix-ups that appear to take place in an alternate universe where a bad movie's plot is everyday life. Iron Sky, Sharknado, and Hellboy all come to mind.
Heck yeah! I'm in!!
"Hey, you scaly Kraut lover- check six!"

I don't know. That makes me think the dragons would just be fighting horses.

1- "D'oh! Forgot most people won't get the airplane ref.
2- Hey, winged horses who breath ice. Could work!
How about Red Tails 2: Dragon Fighters.
The explosions look kinda bad, but judging from the title i expected the CGI to be far worse. I will probably give this one a watch...looks fun.

No, no, no,-I got something better. When Japan attack Pearl Harbor in this movie's universe and said that they "had awoken a sleeping giant". Turns out they were being a little more literal then people realized. So
American Giants vs Nazi Dragons

If the dragons were powered by t-stoff and c-stoff, just rupturing the internal bladders so the two chemicals mixed would be enough to cause the explosion.
I kinda like the idea but I can't help but think the dragons explode because it's cheaper to comp in a stock explosion effect than to animate an exploding dragon. They sure didn't spend any more money on those dragons than they absolutely had to.

Sucker Punch should also come to mind - I can't post links yet, but if I could I'd link to the scene where they're in a WW2 bomber being chased by a dragon. Now that's worth watching.

Ah, yes. B-25J, methinks. If it's got the full gun package, it's a killer.
That's the one. I couldn't tell you if it's a J version of the B-25 or not though. I seem to remember there was a version that had extra guns fixed just forward of the wing root, on the sides of the fuselage, which this one doesn't have.
Come to think of it, there was also Reign of Fire, that had a dragon chasing a helicopter and eating skydivers.
I like this subgenre of film, but realistically they need to go back to WWI planes for the dragons to have a chance, or give the dragons magic powers. If the dragons are only animals the P-51s will make mince meat out of them. Natural dragons probably wouldn't be able to hit 200 in a dive, and the orange flame doesn't look hot enough to effect a metal plane unless the flame can be held on it for a couple minutes.
Of course dragons vs planes is stupid fun and I'm being an arse.
Ah, this one don't have the package guns on the sides under the cockpit, but...

I wonder if any real B-25's had both the nose guns and the glass nose, like in Sucker Punch. Wouldn't it be one or the other?

Say no more. The one they used for level bombing. The gun nose was for strafing.

It looks like a different gun package than the bat-nose plane and the SuckerPunch plane. Those have four or more 50 cal (?) and Martha Jean has one in the center and something else which may not be a gun.
