This was a very well done, well-acted psychological thriller that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Paul and Bea are newlyweds, spending their honeymoon in a cabin on the lake that Bea's uncle owns. It's early in the season, so there aren't many other folks around, and they are having a great time - two young people in love, really getting to know each other as husband and wife, enjoying time alone.
But then Paul wakes up in the middle of the night and finds Bea alone, naked, huddled in the woods outside the cabin. She comes to and insists that she is fine, that she was only sleepwalking - but the next day he notices odd things. She's forgotten how to do simple things, like make French toast or brew coffee. She doesn't respond to the simple catchphrasea and inside jokes that are part of their relationship. And there are strange marks on her thighs, like bug bites only worse . . . her behavior becomes more bizarre over the next few days, even as she insists more and more strongly that everything is fine. But finally she has to admit:
"Something bad happened to me in the woods."
This was a brilliant little horror film that I thoroughly enjoyed.
