Coming soon (http://dallas.eater.com/2015/4/20/8457355/tallywackers-dallas-lemmon-avenue) to Dallas!
QuoteIf you've ever wondered why there wasn't a male version of the skeezy dining establishment that is Hooters, well, your prayers are about to be answered: Brace for the arrival of Tallywackers, coming soon to the gayborhood.
Per a help wanted ad on Craigslist, Tallywackers appears to be a bar and restaurant staffed by half-naked men who may or may not offer suggestive raised eyebrows while serving phallic-shaped foods such as hot dogs. Look for it to open soon at 4218 Lemmon Avenue, the space previously occupied by Lolita's and the Catalina Room.
If Hooters and Twin Peaks are considered breastaurants, does that make Tallywackers a... dickstaurant? Discuss.
Maybe a peckerestraunt?
As a bisexual celibate guy, the last thing I want to see when I'm munching my burger is someone's ding-dong dangling dangerously near my Coke and threatening to contaminate it.... :buggedout: :buggedout:

Trust me, Trev, you don't need to be bi or celibate to find that image off-putting! :bouncegiggle: Yuck!

I think I grossed myself out just typing that.
I'm more worried about a Bachelor Party (1984) type gage being played on me. Last thing I want is Nick the Dick bringing me a hot dog.

Aww man, that had me on the floor! Karma! :bouncegiggle: :bouncegiggle:
We certainly don't wish them ill, as there is too much of that already in the world, but I do wonder how successful they'll be. Some of us may remember, or, maybe not, "Playgirl," which was suppose to be the female equivalent of "Playboy," and we know how long that lasted and how well it went over.
I wouldn't order anything with the "special sauce." Or anything with nuts.
Only men would expect women to react to exposed male anatomy the way men react to seeing naked females.

I suspect the target audience for a restaurant like that would be gay males.

Oh no doubt. The mention of the magazine "Playgirl" brought up the female appeal factor.

Wasn't Playgirl mostly meant for gay males? I always thought the "for women" thing was just a pretense.

You may be right. <shrug> It is not something that would have occurred to me during the brief time it was 'a thing'.
All the same...you don't think 'straight' males harbour the fantasy that women should swoon over their manly equippage?
Hmmm...so "Hooters" was for males and "Tallywhackers" will be for males.

Yeah... young makes are under the delusion that young females like to be texted pictures of their privates. It's quite the problem apparently.
