NPR's movie critic has an opinion.

It's hard to catch the right tone with a spoof. Knowing the 'real thing'...if that makes any sense, is what good parodies depend on. If you're not careful, it can go to the point of being like a Japanese commercial...and that is WAY too bonkers!
I just finished watching this and live riffing on it over on FB.
It was wonderful, cheesy fun, and the idea of Mark Cuban and Anne Coulter as President and Vice President
now leaves me feeling unsatisfied with the entire GOP field.
However, in all seriousness, I think some parts of the movie slightly strained scientific credibility. :teddyr:
I kind of fell asleep halfway through. I just thought I'd rest my eyes for a moment during one of the commercials :teddyr: It was okay though, but the style of humor in Sharktopus vs. Whalewolf is more my style.
It was silly fun but I preferred "2," this one felt like it was trying too hard.
Indy...'slightly strained credibility' is like saying the I-35 bridge collapse was a 'minor traffic tie-up.'
I don't get SyFy, so I hafta ask, were there any references to Smokey And The Bandit 3?
Well, that was quick. "Sharknado 3" apparently broke the Internet last night with zillions of Tweets and Facebook posts about it during its premiere, so SyFy has, unsurprisingly, already green-lighted a "Sharknado 4" for next July.
They're gonna have to go international for the next one, I think. Sharknados over Europe? Sharknado in Japan? The possibilities are endless! :lol!:
Like Fat Freddy said it was good silly fun, and I enjoyed it completely. obtw, the ending was amazing. And though I should have, I didn't see that ending coming. :tongueout:

Next year has the Olympics in Rio, so...could do that.
This was everything I was hoping it would be and more.
Didn't see them going into space coming! And that ending :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr: :teddyr:
the next one is obvious. TEXAS,LOL!!
I was generally entertained by this one. Significant improvement on the second, which I found intermittently boring.
This is the film trilogy that will define this generation!

I thought the story was fun and stupid at the same time. It was great for my daughter to watch and I didn't feel like I need to cover her eyes...
OMG, the woman gave birth inside a falling shark... crazy!
I liked the part with the shark.
