The Deadpool trailer has hit, and it looks really, really good. Ryan Reynolds plays Deadpool. I am hoping there's more to be done with the character in future film installments. I honestly never thought the film would be made. Most comic-book flicks are PG-13.

I'm looking forward to this one.
Ryan Reynolds actually suits the character, unlike his turn as Green Lantern
It looks decent, but I'm hesitant. I've always thought Deadpool worked best in small doses.
He does.
I'm guessing there's backstory and side characters though, so it's not a full 2+ hours of him entirely.
Which, if they do that, leads to more.
I dunno.
I don't know why this thread hasn't got more traction, because Deadpool is smashing box office records. It has beaten Spider-Man and Man of Steel in the box office for first weekend takings. And this is a way lesser-known character with an R-rated film.
Legions of stupid parents are taking kids and toddlers to see it! Oh, the deliciousness of them having to explain all the sex and violence!
Went to see it last Friday at a late night showing with the wife. I think when it had finished, if the cinema had been showing it again we'd have both happily bought tickets and went back in to watch it again.

I think that's it. While it is not my cup of tea, thus I have no interest in seeing it, it does show, that while we already know, that there is a market for PG and PG-13 rated comic book films, there is also a market out there for R-rated comic book films.
As to what that means, beside the sequel "Deadpool 2" in 2017, is anybody's guess.
I didn't want to talk about this movie because I was told never to speak ill of the DEADPOOL.
I enjoyed it. Funny, entertaining, even the love story was alright. I like that we finally see Colossus as the giant Russian stereotype he was always meant to be. Good pacing too.
I also like that this doesn't feel hugely epic like every superhero film feels the need to do now. It's actually draining at this point. That was one of the things I liked about both Deadpool and Ant-Man.
I wouldn't call it an Incredible film, but I liked it.

So did a lot of other people. Total international box office is now up to $700 million, or enough to spawn a sequel. What I'm more interested in seeing, as there seems to be a market for such R-rated films is whether this will spawn more such R-rated films with different characters.
