Hey guys! I was inspired by Metropolisforever's name that movie with pictures thread, and I wanted to do a TV show one!
The game is simple. I will post a picture of a TV show, and someone has to guess what it's from. The person who guesses correctly gets to post a picture, and the pattern continues.
Rules:
No cheating! I know of many ways to cheat with identifying images, which I won't mention. I would like it for this game to be as honest as possible, if you know what I mean.
If people are having trouble getting your image right, give them a hint. It can be subtle or a dead giveaway. Just a small clue might help.
That's it for rules. Nothing much, just simple.
I'll start with this image,
(http://blog-imgs-23.fc2.com/d/a/g/dagashiyacard/d_eye03.jpg)
Diamond Eye - the monster is Gerarachin.
I remember your Television topic back a month ago -
I researched Diamond Eye: Warrior of Light monsters that day.
heres the next photo - hint - TV Japan 1973
(https://tse4.mm.bing.net/th?id=OIP.M69402b3e2852a3f086d773d5da0fcc72H0&pid=15.1)
Wow, great job!
The picture is from Zone Fighter, featuring the titular hero going against Gigan.

hint - late 60's
The monster is Agon from Giant Phantom Monster Agon, also known as Agon: Atomic Dragon.

Hint: Early 70s.
Yes and no - I'll give it to you though...
It's Taron from Space Giants TV show. But - the model is a modified Agon suit.
Your photo - I'm stumped, any more hints?

Ooooh.... Forgot about Ambassador Magma (The Space Giants). Good one!
Hint: The episode the character aired on was September 25, 1972.
Yup, been researching since last night... still stumped lol.
The show it was in was created by NET, and Tsuburaya Productions (the creators of Ultraman).
Tough one. I have been researching though...
I'm down to Redman and Mirrorman - for the show that is.
Actually, it's neither.
This may or may not give it away, but the end of the show's title contains a ten code.

any more clues? I'm still stuck - this is a tough one lol
Show was created on July 3, 1972.
The title of the show has a ten code (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ten-code) at the end of it.
The show was produced by NET and Tsubaraya Productions.
For the show's title, the ten codes are made to mean "OK, goodbye".
The show had a total of 26 episodes.
The main character is named "Mori Haruhiko".
The monster in the picture is nicknamed "Half-Fish, Half-Man".
The monster was in the 13th episode of the show.
EMERGENCY 10-4, 10-10
Gilmer
WOW... that was a hard one!
Ok. I have to give you a tough one now lol... good luck!

TV show - 1989
Great job!
Now your picture...
I think it was from a TV show called "Monsters", that I used to watch a long time ago but I'm not sure what the character was called. I'll look for the name.
AWESOME work!
GLIM GLIM from Monsters!
Post away
Wow, didn't think I would get that one!
Actually, at first I thought it was this guy (http://41.media.tumblr.com/f9d326b8cad9505c6d9c766fc370436e/tumblr_nxr91ff6PM1u41o7do1_500.jpg) from It Conquered the World, but I noticed... Glim Glim's photo was in color (EDIT: Not to mention, It Conquered the world was a movie... silly me).
Next photo:
The monster is based off of a Japanese yokai.
Kamen Rider super 1
Rain, Rain, Fall, Fall! The Bizarre Umbrella Man!
Nope, the monster is not Amaganser (http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/kamenrider/images/2/25/Super-vi-amaganser.jpg/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/220?cb=20120820173654) from Masked Rider Super-1 (http://kamenrider.wikia.com/wiki/Kamen_Rider_Super-1). Good guess though (with the umbrella theme)!
Hint: The show only had thirteen episodes total (and was extremely low budget, having the yokai-based monsters just be people wearing casual clothing and a monster mask, while wielding a rubber sword).
EDIT: Sorry for the small photo. I tried to find a better one, but unfortunately I couldn't.
Any ideas?
still stuck...
Hint: The show was made in 1973, Japan. The main character was played by Kenji Izumi.
Hint: The main character/title of the show's name use the word "Mask/Kamen".
Shirojishi Kamen! - that was tough!
sooo - I have to post a tough one now
Hint - TV Show - late 80's early 90's
You are correct! Kasa Obake from White Lion Mask!
As for yours, damn. I've seen it about ten billion times and I can't remember what it is from. I'll see what I can do to actually find it.
Do you, by any chance know what country it's from?
USA
I know you can do this lol
Think about it - if it's not Monsters - it must be...
_______ ______________ the Series

Your hint makes me think of
Tales from the Darkside (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tales_from_the_Darkside). But then you say it's from late 80s, early 90s and your blanks only contain two words.
This one's really good! I know I've seen it, I just can't remember the name! :bouncegiggle:
A famous monster hosted the show - big giveaway :twirl:
"AHHh haaAHAh hA-HA-HAaa!"
Friday the 13th: the Series is my best guess.
Yeah, I know. Doesn't add up at all, but it's all that I can come up with at the moment. I'm exhausted after today. :drink:
I'll tell ya this much - you're VERY warm! 1-10, that guess would be a 9.
Keep thinking famous monsters late 80's - early 90's.
Hmm.... Monsters late 80s early 90s.... Famous ones... and you hinted at the host laughing, which makes me think of Freddy's Nightmares: A Nightmare on Elm Street, but I don't recall if Freddy laughed like that. Can't think of anything with vampires, werewolves, Frankenstein's monster, or anything like that. I even tried Googling any late 80s shows with those characters and Google didn't find anything.
Freddy's Nightmares (TV Series 1988–1990)
Yup! Freddy laughed just like that 0:28
http://youtu.be/54tyrpYuBHI (http://youtu.be/54tyrpYuBHI)
Post a new pic. Good job!
Wow, alright! That was a tough one. What was the thing in the picture? Just a poor victim of Freddy's?
Since I'm not posting any kaiju things until I get my mystery thing done, I'll do something else. This one might be easier than my other ones.

Hint: Sitcom, late 80s, early 90s.
When I wake up in the morning
And the 'larm gives out a warning
I don't think I'll ever make it on time
By the time I grab my books,
And I give myself a look,
I'm at the corner just in time to see the bus fly by
It's alright 'cause I'm saved by the bell
If the teacher pops a test,
I know I'm in a mess,
And my dog ate all my homework last night,
Ridin' low in my chair,
She won't know that I'm there,
If I can hand it in tomorrow, it'll be all right!
It's alright, 'cause I'm saved by the bell
Hahaha, you totally got it! Post away!
The 1st Freddy pic I had posted was him playing a video game from one of his movies.
He had a Power glove as well lol
If you watch the vid I posted you'll hear that laugh at 0:28
Someone else can take my turn for now...
Post away somebody.
Oh, okay! I knew I've seen it, but it was a long time ago. Just so happened to have shown up on TV.
Here's another one, since you gave up your turn:
Hint: It is named after a famous composer/pianist.
Hint: Mid-seventies, British cartoon.
Captain Kangaroo's Ludwig
Yup! Heheh, your turn.
Hint - mid 80's
Hm.... Knight Rider? Looks kinda like the guy's truck.
Knight Rider- yup that's Goliath
Good job. Post away...
Hint: Early 60s.
Hint: The characters in this show were all puppets.
Fireball XL5 or Space Patrol...
It's Space Patrol/Planet Patrol! The character being Mak.
Post away!
mid 90's - lots of fighting!
WMAC Masters? Only mid-90s thing I can think of with lots of fighting.
Yup! Good job... that's Shannon Lee the host, Bruce Lee's daughter.
I watched it every Saturday back then!

The Tiny Toon one is Gogo. Yoyo was in two episodes (the second one being a remake of the first) of the original Looney Tunes. It features Porky Pig, who was looking for Yoyo.

Is that Chairface, from The Tick?! Hehehehehe!
That's 100% Chairface, from The Tick - Gene Worm is right.
Alright, this one shouldn't be too hard.

Hint: Probably today's most popular Sci-Fi series.
Dr Who
Yeah. :teddyr:

Mine was guessed correctly, Venom or someone else may post a photo.

Ok, next TV show...
1981 to early 90's
No worries, I've been busy myself.
He was the antagonist in "Danger Mouse", I forget his name.
You got it!
Danger Mouse. That was Baron Greenback
It's been a long while since I saw that show. My friend is a cartoon person, and he showed that one to me. Good one!
Next show:
Hint: Early 70s.
Hint: The show is a British comedy.
Hint: The show started in 1970 and ran for a decade long.
The show had a similar title to "The Goonies".
Super hint:
The show was to be named Narrow Your Mind and prior to that title was Super Chaps Three. The character in the picture appeared in one episode.
I don't want to give the answer as I don't want to post a photo, but I will say that I'd happily buy a complete collection of this show's episodes if it was ever released here in the States.

The person who answers correctly doesn't
have to post a photo. If the previous person's photo is guessed correctly, then anybody else can post the next photo. It usually is the person who answered correctly who goes next, but it doesn't have to be. :teddyr:
Well then, here's your answer:

As javakoala said, anyone (except for me) may post a photo.
