Unwatchable should have been the title of this steaming pile of torture porn disguised as a political thriller, starring Samuel L Jackson, Michael Sheen and an almost unrecognizable Carrie Ann Moss.

Jackson plays the on the edge H, an interrogator with a sadistic side, back and front who is tasked with breaking a radicalized American who has planted three nuclear bombs in the USA: he has charming methods of interrogation, including slicing the pinkie finger of the interviewee off and slitting his wife's throat in front of him to break him: nothing works, even when H threatens to kill the interviewee's kids.
Horrible, nasty, stomach churning piece of crap cinema: Bleurgh. :buggedout: :buggedout:
PS: If you care about the film (which you shouldn't) it ends with a shot of the bomb team finding and defusing the three bombs, while the camera shows us a hidden bomb which counts down to zero as the film ends. :buggedout: :buggedout:
just read a few reviews on imdb. has a 7.1 average but I think I can deduce from the negative reviewers what kind of movie this is i.e. a heavily biased piece of propaganda disguised as a movie(?)
btw Samuel L Jackson will always be Jules from Pulp Fiction for me. it might sound small minded but I just can't see him as anything else. same with Ray Liotta, I can't/don't want to see him in anything apart from Goodfellas...
