I applied for a part time program last month. Yesterday I learned that I've been accepted into the program.
Cool, you are in for three (or more) years of hell! We'll miss your feline beer updates around here. :drink:
Seriously, if you need some advice or support I'll try to give what I can. Part time is extremely hard to do, more than 1/2 of the night school part-timers ended up dropping out or switching to full-time. I started part time but changed so I could give school my full attention. (If you have a part-time paralegal or law clerk job with an understanding boss it's a bit different).
Read every lawyer joke you can. That way you can spoil the punchline before your tormentors get to it.

Why is it that the forum members are all super genuis or shut ins?
So I got Rev AND you to catch me if I get arrested when I fall down drunk while taking a p**s in the front yard! Cool! :drink:

I just put it out there on Facebook this evening that I will be going to law school this fall.
Once people start checking the Facebooks...

(I mean that in a good way too).
You can always friend me on FB: just look for Trevor Moses and a pic of a guy with his one arm around a lovely lady (my special sister) and his other hand up Kermit's bum :buggedout:
Hey congrats! I'm also in the beginning stages of a change going into a Masters of Secondary teaching [watch out indy, I'm currently on the books as a history/media studies teacher.]
Boy being back at university is strange, but luckily I was in a position where I could quit my job and just do some freelancing, which thus far is able to sustain me otherwise I'd look like this guy.
GOOD LUCK!

Very good, Trevor T.
South Africa may be losing one of its finest archivists, but . . .?! It's gaining an even better lawyer.
So, tell us, when you become a lawyer and start appearing in court, are you going to have to start changing your underwear more frequently than before?

Sprite's going to law school, not Trevor.
I hear when Trevor applied, he was turned down because he apparently had a totally inappropriate idea of what they meant by "filling out briefs..." :buggedout:
congrats!!!! :cheers
Thank you bob.
Costco underthings are cheap and comfortable so I'll have plenty of changes for then.

Me bad!
Thank-you for that correction.
I know that Sprite will make a fine lawyer, and if I ever get in trouble for something I say on this board, I hope he'll take me on as a client.
And if Trevor ever decides to become a lawyer, I know he'll make a fine one as well, for I can see him now and standing before the jury and saying: "The stink don't quit. Till you the jury acquit [my client.]"
Again my apologies to everyone for my grievous error.

The odd thing is: on Monday 29 Feb, I've got a meeting with a Johannesburg law firm and one of their clients who wants legal advice on what to do with her father's films.
Another reason I didn't go was when I found out that THIS guy was going to be one of my professors :buggedout: :buggedout:

And it became official today, I've been informed that my seat deposit has been received and processed.
s**t's getting real now.
Heading up to Minnesota for the admitted students day Friday. Looking forward to it!

Get your books as early as possible and start reading on your own to get ahead. Even if you don't have your syllabi yet. Invest in a large set of multi-colored highlighters, too. Say goodbye to your friends and loved ones, tell them you'll see them again in three years. I'm only kidding a little.

Just got back home from Minnesota. I'm looking forward to going to school, I'm glad to finally get going on this. And yes I am a bit nervous too.
